Better to get tickets in advance....or day of? I know advance gives me piece of mind.....but if the cardinals have a ****** season and interest in them wains, prices will be down in December. Same can be said of the Steelers season. Of course the opposite is true. How are the site lines of the stadium, are the nose bleeds horrible?
The problem I have had is getting more than 2 tickets together on game day. Most of those tickets are singles, or maybe 2 together. Where you are flying and paying for a rental car and hotel room, that is a lot of money, so you are going to buy tickets to get into the game, no matter what. Better to get tickets from a source that guarantees them, together, at a known cost. JMO.
The game day tickets are the ones not sold on StubHub or wherever, so you get the leftovers. Also, I agree that game-day tickets can be more affordable due to how teams are doing, etc. but in my somewhat limited experience in getting Steeler tickets in LA, Phoenix (previously), and San Diego, the Steelers tickets are still expensive on game-day.
Where to stay? Close to Stadium? If I go ,I think it would be from the Friday to the Tuesday after the game. Is Glendale that far from Phoenix? recommendations? There must be game day shuttles or party type busses to get you there and back? Or better to stay in Glendale? Trying to keep accomadation prices down. Under 100$ a night would be nice. Or there abouts.
Glendale is quite close to Phoenix, and getting out of the parking lot after the game is not bad, compared to most other venues, since there really is not much around the stadium. Wife, son and I are going to stay at the Hampton Inn, which features suites with kitchens. We previously stayed at the Springhill Suites, about 2 miles from the stadium. Rooms at the Springhill start at about $110, but a decent room with a kitchen, king bed and pullout coach goes for something like $130.
