Would love to see Fichtner add a bit of the Jaylen Wildcat with Conner still not like to be 100%. Especially if they can involve Diontae and the Oregon kid. Think if could confuse them enough to give Mason more flexibility to stretch the field...

last time samuals threw and Washington was still is break he should waited or threw the ball away

Why would you want samuels throwing the football and NOT OUR QB ?

Salute the nation

qb is not in the wild cat or splits out asa wr as a decoy.
the play call was stupid having samauls on the toss and asking him to throw , wasa bad throw and timing a rb is not gonna as good as a qb when the wr/te is gonna turn depending on the route washington didn't cut and the floater was easily picked off

I think the wildcat 'wrinkle' can work - now that we've seen Rudy throw on the run outside of the pocket. I wouldn't try it too much, but I'd put JaySam in the 'cat position' - winged by the new kid, Brooks. Motion DJ across the formation (handoff, please) - who now flips it to Rudy who's running the double reverse. JuJu runs a slant faking back out to the sideline = 20 gain!!!

As long as it is not from our 10 yard line

Thanks but no thanks. The value of the wildcat is that it affords an extra blocker. That is it. It also tells the opponent that you wont pass.

The Steelers need to build on what they did yesterday and throw the ball down field. Mason wasn't just checking down and finally made some nice throws. I hope they have the receivers and tight ends working extra on the JUGS machine this week after all of those drops.

if Conner is not 100%, then wildcat should be a part of the plan. The browns defense is built to defend the pass. They have a good pass rush and a bunch of man cover guys. The steelers will need to run the ball and if Conner is not himself then Wildcat could be used to give them a lift in a run game that has been awful.

It's a short week though so you can't really add anything new but they have run it previously so it should not be impossible to install for Thursday.
