We're obviously on the wrong foot, bud. Not my intention one bit to "police" anyone's posting. And I don't think you're some shitfuck douchebag poster. We have several of those, but you're not one of 'em. But you're not paying attention to the heaps and heaps of **** piled upon those who criticize the Steelers or (gasp!) Mike Tomlin. It's changed the dynamic of the board over the last couple of years IMO and as a result many of us are pretty damn irritated by it.
My mom did a decent job.
Well, I can agree we have definitely not been seeing eye to eye. That said, here is my opinion on Tomlin (which I reserve the right to change at any time ... lol). I was all for giving him another year (that's this year). I don't think he's the best coach or infallible. I don't think he's the worst coach or a blithering idiot. There are things that have happened this year that is pushing me in the direction that his time here might have run its course (not totally there yet, but the "arrow is pointing" that way). I think that there comes a time when maybe a fresh approach might work better, and we could be nearing that time.
All that said, if the team continues to come out flat, make the same mental mistakes, etc. then it's not about his time "running its course". A change would be needed at the end of this year.
I also feel that Haley bears a good portion of blame for the offensive failures and Lebeau for the defensive failures. However, for as much as we hear about Tomlin, those two tend to fly under the radar on this board.
Edit: Also, I try not to make my responses personal attacks unless personally attacked. If you look back, most of my posts in response to "the issues" include things such as stats, rankings, etc. To me the board was/should be somewhere to discuss Steelers football; good, bad, ugly or great. We may not agree on certain points, and may never get to a point where we do. The beauty is that we don't have to. It should be fun/entertaining/enlightening to just discuss/debate the issues.
