Wide Receiver U....

You are definitely the ONLY one who thinks we are ok with the WRs as we sit. We need an upgrade out there in a bad way or its going to be a very difficult season to watch

No, he's not the only one.
While we'd be foolish not to consider upgrading at every position, as that's what all 32 teams are supposed to do, WE ( thank you, Mav ), we feel WR isn't the most pressing issue nor should we reach for a WR in the draft/trade/FA just because we lost Antonio Clown.
And Clown may be the best WR in the league.
No rookie WR is going to come in a replace his production. Not a single player in the draft could do that. Nor were there or are there any Free Agents that could.
The only true way to actually replace Drama Queen Clown Shoes would be to trade for Michael Thomas or DeAndre Hopkins.
And let me shake the 8-Ball on those trades........Oh, it says "NOT FN LIKELY".

I still think our offense has the chance to be more efficient with out Cry baby Brown. We won't have to throw so much to massage his ego.

We're definitely taking a WR - and would do so even if A ***** were still here.
Y'all whined and cried about Hunter and DHB being on the roster last year. Now A ***** is gone, Justin Hunter and DB are free agents and y'all whinily cry that we don't need another WR since we signed Moncrief.

So we now have a grand total of 5 WR with NFL experience. Juju, Washington, Moncrief, Switzer and Rogers
Do you really believe we'll enter the season with just these guys?

And 3 of the 5 or 60% are sub 6 feet tall. Washington, Switzer, & Rogers. We need 1 more stud guys. And another large, fast receiver who can get separation.

Yeah **** Brown and his numbers we are 31st ranked rushing offense, LETS POUND THE ROCK!

Been doing this "Law of Attraction" thingee which says focus & think about only the positive in others & circumstances as what you think on or dwell on, you always attract.

So....In the spirit of being positive & looking at what we do really, really well, it is time for Steeler Nation to "attract" our next 2 stud wide receivers. I firmly believe we will draft 2 of them. One in rounds 1 or 2 for sure, and I say another in 3 or 4...

We can draft & develop Wide Receivers. We attract star receivers, & very, very serviceble secondary receivers like no other team.

Who we bringing in guys?

Ben needs a couple of new shiny toys....What say Ye?

Dilly, Dilly
I really like Mecole Hartman...

Um no...

We need more tools in the shed. Moncrief may turn out but he's still, IMO, a one trick pony...

Maybe or maybe not, but let us not get caught red handed to see. Flood the position with possibilities and see what sticks. I am all for getting a early rounder and a mid to late round WR and or TE. And a RB. 10 picks let us see what they can do with them.

Exactly! We’ll draft receiver in second round.

You are probably right, because there should still be a good receiver there. Problem is they could be another undersized wideout...But, if the Devins are gone, i say Metcalf or Fant in rd 1 if available

I think Campbell and Ridley are there for the taking in first and third rounds and take our ILB in second round. Unless the kid is the next Jack Lambert the first round is too early for an ILB in today's football.

I can live with being the only one. The team has much greater needs than a WR in the first couple a rounds.

Conner, McDonald, JuJu, Moncrief, Switzer, Rogers. I think we will do ok, maybe not like when we won the Super Bowls with the money crew though, but ok.

I never said anything about not drafting a WR. You always draft a player in an attempt to upgrade. I just believe they have bigger needs, CB, ILB, OLB, DL, TE.

That Raider third is like a second. With the first four picks I would be surprised if they aren't WR,CB,OLB, S or ILB.

There's several mock drafts that have no CB's taken before we pick and the lowest I've seen Devin Bush fall in like 17.

I think he should be available pick 15, and I think it would only cost the Steelers a third to go up and get him. That is the scenario I am hoping for.

Same here, although I see a lot of people thinking the Bengals grab him at 11 or 12 whichever it they pick at.

I would be happy with a blue-chip Corner or ILB.

Disagree, Agree, Agree

If you examine what Moncrief had to work with you might like his odds at being a solid number 2. I think going from one of the worst QBs to one of the best will help his game considerably.

Also our WR coach has a impressive resume, that should help him as well.

It occurs to me that the Steelers amazing success drafting wide receivers may be grounded in their past success in drafting Ben Roethlisberger.
