Why insistance on fake crowd noise on games?

I now see that Fox will be adding a computerized crowd and crowd noise to their upcoming televised baseball games. I've actually tuned into several professional overseas soccer games and watched Italian games with zero crowd noise and English games with fake crowd noise and actually found the fake noise quite annoying. Actually hearing the players of the field is crazy interesting. Hearing those coaches and players yelling out while the announcers are talking is quite the experience. Why the fake noise?

I view it like this. I ****** hate laugh tracks on sitcoms. It sounds ridiculous. This will be no different. So you will play a fake cheering track when the home team does something? and a golf clap when the visitor does something. C'mon.

I'd rather hear the on field verbality than "FAKE" **** as that is all we hear from the news media as is.

apparantly a player for the Dodgers dropped the F bomb on the field yesterday. I don't give a **** (<--see what I did there) but you gotta protect the masses from F-bombs so fake noise.

Bundesliga adds crowd noise, and it's fantastic! You get the crowd songs throughout the match. A ref fuckup gets whistles, and goals get celebrations. It is more fun watching a game with crowd noise than without. Most shots are closer, so you're not seeing the crowd anyway, and just get caught up in the action, like normal.
