Why are Bell's numbers down?

Talking football is a lost cause with you, its a fair question.

I think its a mix of coaching, Bell not being as good as he was last year, and some OL injuries.

Nice how you snuck the MT snub there. We get it, you don't like him. No need to keep forcing your agenda. Just sit back, roast your marshmallows and wait for a miscue by the coaching staff.

He is the nfl's leading rusher. What else would you like?? After his slow start due too his Hold out. The Oline slow start. He is still NFL's leading rusher. With room to play better...Again what the **** do you want???

Only due to the amount of total carries. But what's up with the pedestrian like 3.9 yards a carry. You do realize 20+ RB;s are doing better in this department. In addition Bell's yards per catch is down too.

Our OL as a group is better than most.

I agree the hold out was a dumb move by Bell, but he's isn't rusty anymore and was mediocre vs the Lions. What the F do I want? Him to play like he did last year. If not, fee up whatever amount he singed for 12+ million to play this year.

Are those 20 RBs better then Bell? He is worth every penny of that money and to me proving he is worth an extension. The offensive line has had a slow start as well. Gilbert maybe the best right tackle in the league. His absence is huge in the running game. Why didnt you make this dumb thread after the chiefs and ravens games?

Bell did not hold out. He wasn’t under contract to hold out. He chose not to sign his tender until he was required to (Sept 1) per CBA.

Bell has more touches and 1 more game over others, so, you have, accidentally, hit on one issue with regards to total yards.

It isn't exactly, proper to compare someone with 194 rushes to someone with 80 rushes with regards to YPC. You want, relatively, similar sample sizes. So, 130 is about 2/3rds of his carries. There are 9 RB's with that many or more carries. 6 of them have more YPC. 2 have more TD's. Ezekiel Elliot who did NOT miss training camp has a whole 0.3 ypc more than Bell's "pedestrian" 3.9. Of those with more than 130 carries, one has a higher first down % than Bell, by .6%,

The yards per catch issue may have as much to do with where he catches the ball than any issues with his skills.

One thing I'd like to see is how many times Bell has been tackled behind the line of scrimmage this year versus last. It appears to happen more this year than in the past, but that may be perception rather than fact. If it has increased, that would leave me to believe it has more to do with the OL than Bell.
