I tell you I don’t have a clue. But I think Lefty has a good chance of picking up A HC job.

Definitely Marron and Gase. I think the Chargers need to move on from Lynn and if the Bengals want to make a bold move they could fire Taylor.

The names that are starting to pop up for jobs are:

Eric Bieniemy
Robert Saleh
Brian Daboll
Arthur Smith
Joe Brady
Marvin Lewis

and from the college ranks:

Matt Campbell
Urban Meyer
Ryan Day
Pat Fitzgerald
Brian Kelly

Back to Cincinnati, if I'm them I give Brady a contract he can't refuse. He was terrific at LSU and did a good job with Carolina. Reunite him with Burrow and get the most out of their franchise QB.

I hope they fire Taylor, cause I think he is a pretty good coach. That team plays hard in games I have seen. I think they are building something and have gotten rid of a lot of idiots. So I hope Mike Brown fires the guy, hires a college guy who may or may not know how to handle pros, and then begins drafting and signing more clowns like Burfict and Adam Jones.

Actually, much to my surprise, the Bengals (read: the Brown family) has essentially told Taylor that he must let go of some of his assistants, including the d-coordinator, o-line and d-line coach, among others. So I guess Taylor is officially being put on notice that they expect some sort of improvement soon

I could see Pat Fitzgerald going to NY Jets, would be a good hire for them.

I would be surprised if Taylor is fired. Gase will almost certainly be fired, but the Jets are an idiotic Gregg williams call from wining 3 out of their last 4. I wouldnt be surprised if they beat the Pats this weekend. Marrone will be gone. Fangio, Pederson, and Patricia are probably on the very very hot seat. I wouldnt be surprised to see Zimmer get axed as well. Min has a lot of talent and seemed to underperform

I read an article that Adam Gase has already been told that he's getting canned. So I'll say him.

was my first guess as well. guy led them to a victorious-less season and had the first Trevor pick all locked up and then went and blew it. Can't make that **** up.

That's exactly the type of coach the Jets need after Gase. Fitzgerald is only going to leave if he wants a challenge because he has a lifetime job at Northwestern.

Um....Patricia was fired a good 2 weeks or so, ago. And Fangio has already been told that he's being retained.

Oh yeah i forgot about Patricia..... supposedly he was making comments under a fake name after getting fired. Pederson is also supposedly being retained, but you never know till it happens

True, true

Pederson is supposed to be retained, but his DC won’t be back as he said he’s stepping away from coaching in 2021. Schwartz must have thought he was getting a shot replacing Pederson and was told no.

Wait, why is nobody putting Fichtner of Butler down for HC gigs? Aren't the coordinators of successful teams hot candidates? Yet never a peep for either. Kind of says it all about how they are regarded around the league.

Fitzgerald hasn't even jumped to bigger college jobs. I can't see him going to the NFL. Northwestern just invested a ton of money to improve their facilities. Recruiting should improve. I think he stays at least a few more years to see how things improve.

Bienemy will be a head coach by executive order at this point.

Bengals shouldn't fire taylor. Their whole franchise is Burrow's development and Taylor has done a good job so far. His system is perfect for Burrow.

I'd imagine Gase will have his stuff packed for him today. I would take Saleh over Tomlin in a New York minute. I feel he is Tomlin with actual knowledge not just big words.

I've said this about Tomlin recently. To my knowledge Ray Horton is the only Tomlin assistant (hired by Tomlin not a Cowher holdover) to make an upward move in this league. He was briefly a DC in Cleveland and Tenn. What does that say about the quality of assistants and coordinators? Its coming on 15 years and his coaching tree doesn't even have a bud.

The world is full of Tomlin Coaching Trees as is evident in this photo

Bellicheck's coaching tree is ****. You have Vrabel being successful, but every cast off for the past 20 years has been ****.

Butler should be a HC candidate. He has 4 straight years of 50+ sacks. That is elite with the turnover we've had on D. He will be a HC one day.

People always go to the success of the guy. I'm saying interest in. Despite plus .600 win percent, no losing seasons, all the North titles, two AFC titles and one SB. The sum total of interest in Tomlin Assistants and coordinators is Uncle Kinky going to Cleveland for 8 weeks and Horton short DC stints. Does that not say anything to you Cope? These are inside people. They don't have an axe to grind about winning. WHY NOT?

He ruined the Jets chance at Trevor Lawrence, so not only did he destroy the team, he made it worse by blowing their chance at a franchise QB

Did they? They have the second pick right? Fields has the making of a franchise so not sure they lost too much there. Lawrence isn't a slam dunk prospect despite the hype. Fields in the long run might prove to be the better pro.

You are discrediting his coaching tree by saying it's Cowher's coaches A better argument might be if you say it's Dungy's coaching tree. Ariens was a WR coach and was turned into an OC by Tomlin. He wouldn't have had HC offers without his success in 2 SB runs. What's Cowher's coaching tree? Dude was in the league for more years than Tomlin. Wis? That's about it. Russ Grimm never sniffed a HC position. You could make an argument for LeBeau, but that dude was in the league coaching before Cowher was playing in the league.

Check out Ariens coaching staff: Leftwich, Goodwin, Larry Foote, Randle El, All guys that played or coached under Tomlin. (Cody Grimm is Russ's son)

Perhaps coaching trees just don't mean as much as they did in the 80s/90s, when retreads and the gold ol boy club, only hired from within...

Hoodies coaching tree is abysmal.
