I'd take Von Miller. If this defense had Von Miller, it would be a top 5 defense. The steelers have a bunch of good but not great pass rushers. You add a great like Miller and offenses have to double him which then makes it much easier for everybody else.

We saw how Clark Haggans was pretty effective when Porter was demanding all the attention. With Miller, i'd bet Watt would become a double digit sack guy. Heyward might also.

Now that the steelers have some playmakers in the secondary, a great pass rush would make this a top defense and paired with an already explosive offense, the Steelers would dominate the league.

If you put Von Miller on this steeler team, i see no way, other than injuries, that they don't win the super bowl.

I agree with Tape. Has to be a defender. Barclay is just piece for a piece. Though if you had another number one across from AB and Juju in the slot at what point would the offense become unstoppable.

I like the Houston dude too but Id like to see Aaron Donald come home. Put him in our line and booom goes the dynamite! A defense worthy of the “steel curtain” or “men of steel” eras. In this day and age you really have to have pressure at the line you have to penetrate and breakup the blocking, pressure the qb and take away the rpo’s. Donald is one of the best at that. The idea you can do it with a phony 2 man line like we try to do is a joke. Sounds like the coaches are changing that up a little keeping the nose guard in on passing plays but we’ll see...

I figured DEFENSE would be the most popular choice. I went OFFENSE to relive financial pressure and young enough player with indefinite ceiling. Von Miller is an excellent choice but what's his longevity remaining......... Of course we are a "WIN NOW" built team and he would make a DEFINATE impact. BARCLEY would be in training camp / OTAs and would make an impact as well but more of a long term impact.

Barkely easily. It would save us headaches, and free up a lot of cap space.* I think*Barkely will average*more per rush and hit more big plays in comparison to Bell.*

Ed Oliver has a lot to prove. Based on two years playing he won't be much of a pass rusher in the NFL.* His season high for sacks is only*5.5

If he can get 12 sacks this year mostly vs. weaker American conference teams, then maybe that perception can change.* Most top SEC or Big Ten pass rusher would do far better than 5.5 sacks in a season vs the same competition, I think.

Todd Gurley. Young and explosive. And a damn good pass catcher too. Behind the Steelers O-line, he would look mighty attractive.

Then I would rap a Bell departure tune.

For whom the Bell tollssss
buh bye with yinz high demands
now only dreams

You'll be working your Dairy Queens
while Gurley
is ripping thru seams

Sorry Lev
I shed no tear
but on the bright side
yinz will have plenty of time
to work on that so called
rap career

Tom Brady. and remove the Red Jersey rule for practices, and practice blitzing alllllll daaaay.

Tom Brady so he isn't on the Patriots...

I wouldn't take a running back, it wouldn't improve the team this year at all. Although they don't have top talent, there are actually some solid CBs on the roster. We need guys who can get to the quarterback.

I really would want Donald, but Miller is the clear choice. We have a solid option with Hargrave in the middle. As Tape said, if you put Miller on one side, it's a HUGE upgrade over Dupree and makes Watt even better.

I know you're displaying a little "HELL YEA" and appreciate that immensely as there would be ON LY a couple things better than the beating of t*mmy b*y. That being said.....................................

No one brought up QB or head coach. Some here have bashed Tomlin and others think Ben can't think fast enough.................... TRUTH is there isn't much better at either position to want. I said BARCLEY as that would get rid of a problem child. Von Miller is a GREAT choice as that truely would be a step in the right direction of putting this team over the top. We can beat the CHEATRIOTS as our team stands right now. But oh my what a high powered front seven we would be on "D".

I would NEVER EVER want this but what about Billicheat ?????

Billiecheat's schtick is getting old. Teams are getting tired of the cheating and NO CONSEQUENCES for it. Even his players are coming out against him. A lot of "ex-player " negative talk coming out. I'd like to see the ship sink in a HUGE information purging by someone in the know and for the cheaters to dispute and then have it totally back fire in there faces with solid proof.....................

I WOULD NEVER WANT THAT ****** AS ANYTHING AFFILIATED WITH THE STEELERS UNLES----

It was to

**** him with the "RED HOT" poker

If we had Von Miller we would put him into pass coverage 95% of the time

JJ Watt. get rid of Bell. He, when healthy, will dominate an offense. If he is with his brother, should be even greater.
And he is healthy...

This may not be popular but I'd take Carson Wentz. With only 1-3 years left of Ben, I send him out to pasture a little early in exchange for 10+ years of a franchise QB in his prime. If every team redrafted the entire league, Wentz would be top 5 if not the top pick because of his age and MVP like performance before getting hurt. And with arguably less weapons than he would have here. Wentz is basically a more mobile Ben with many more years to play. I love Ben but you can't pass up a young proven franchise QB.

Since I think we need an elite pass rusher badly, whoever it is that is doing that at the highest level right now. I guess that would be Von Miller still?

I don't think this is a bad idea at all. I would go this route as well if it was QB.

Very excellent train of thoughts here. NO ONE would take a new coach and that is saying our's must be OK. Von Miller is definately huge. Our team is built for NOW win and Von would be definately the WoW now factor that we would need. JJ Watt if he were 3 4 years younger.
