Who returns punts?

I wonder why Boykin hasn't been used returning kicks? Nobody thought of it, or Jacoby Jones was just too damn enticing?

To be honest. I don't think it matters.

The specTeams has been dreadful yet again. It doesn't matter who is running when their isn't a lane. And when there is,... flag!

Brandon Boykin must have literally pissed in Tomlin's Wheaties when he first arrived... like right in front of him, while singing the American Anthem and doing the Macarena... man gets no love from this team at all...

He wasn't favored here in philly either. Don't know why but everyone shitted on him.

Maybe Boykin is a dick... I never met the man so I cant say. it just seems odd that all that playmaking history is underused in two teams now

Agree. I think he deserves to be on the field more given what he has done. Not that we traded a pick given need.

Pretty crazy if ya axe me. Why trade a 5th round pick for a 'need' player then basically sit the man down and ignore him. Fishy!

Again the only semi-reasonable scenarios in my head on why blake over Boykin:

1. Blake is better at Zone, and we love Zone... zones can be very complicated and neither Cockrell nor Boykin were on the team for long so they don't trust them as much.
2. Boykin is more of a technical cover guy and Blake is a hitter... and Lake and Tomlin favor the hitters in the secondary for intimidation purposes.
3. The coaches feel Boykin is the best option in the slot... Blake cant play slot, and they want Cockrell to get reps
4. Blake is a better practice player... it happens... a guy is trash on the field but an all star at practice.
5. Tomlin is a loyal guy and Blake is the second guy in seniority that is available. (See Ziggy hood and the aged ghost of Brett kiesel over Cam Heyward, ect)
6. They were really just trying to save the higher draft pick... and maybe get him to resign at a better price than if he was stat loaded from starting all season.
7. Boykin royally pissed someone (or someones) off... not enough to get cut cause they need him, but enough that he isn't getting more time or chances
8. Blake has incriminating photos of everyone.. and isn't afraid to use them.

I think you put the best player on the field for PR duties. AB may not be the best PR in uniform on sunday. Marcus Weaton, OK but I'd really like Boykin getting work in all week in this capacity. Come friday, make the decision. IF boykin so be it, USE him...!!!!!!

Salute the nation

Anyone but Blake.

But seriously....Why our number 1 receiver is returning kicks in the first place has always baffled me. I don't think the risk is worth the reward.

Per Kaboly, Wheaton said he is returning punts if AB can't.

I was gonna say, it's usually Wheaton when AB doesn't do it.
