I'm just wondering who is watching today??? I myself will NOT be but can see both sides of the coin.

REASONS TO WATCH

1.) One last chance to see your favorite player suited up and playing
2.) To find out who actually made it and how well they do.
3.)Coaching staffs and how well they work with strangers
4.) Catch some scuttlebutt about league / players / etc.
5.) Pre Super Bowl Party
6.) Add to this list PLEASE

REASONS NOT TO WATCH

1.) Players have no incentive
2.) Fake, sometimes it's a popularity contest
3.) SB players can NOT partake
4.) Time slot and location suck
5.) ME ME ME happening on the field, literally.

THINGS TO IMPROVE THE GAME

1.) Actually move game back to Hawaii and after SB
2.) Put some incentive into it such as winner gets HOMEFIELD at SB
3.) Officiate it as if it is a real game,
4.) Players are being paid to be there, MAKE them earn it. (loser gets 25% of what winner gets)
5.) Pick 2-college coaches who have HUGE potential to move up to NFL as respective conference coach

LITTLE HISTORY / Editor's note

1.) The STEELERS have put more LBs in the probowl than any other team
They hold the LONGEST consecutive LB being present (I haven't looked
this one actually up but have heard announcers talk of it)
2.) Until about 15+ years ago it actually meant something to make the Pro Bowl
now it's morphed into a phony junk accolade similar to what the SB direction
is headed now.
3.) There is no "fix" to this dumb game so it should be eliminated
4.) I GOT NOTHING
5.) why are you still reading

I personally don't think the probowl was worth the time and effort you put into your whole post.......it was nice though.
 
I remember when they played like it mattered at least a little bit. I quit watching it probably 15-20 years ago.
 
PLayers get voted in (popularity contest). There should be no game at all, but rather a red carpet affair (sponsored by a haberdashery or two).

Player X shows up with his wife. Short interview with player. Announcers quickly describe players shirt/pants/ shoes, maybe his girlfriend/wife outfit, and move on. Clothiers would be all over that. A new way to show off thier clothes. The NFL shows advertise the haberdashers at the end, why not get them to sponsor such a thing. They could show highlights of the players, etc. Nobody gets hurt. Everybody makes money.
 
I support my Steelers in everything they do and a whole boatload of our guys will be out there, including coaching staff. So I'll watch to get one last glimpse of our Steelers before the long spring-summer layoff rolls around. Happy for Boswell and Rosie Nix to get some recognition, along with big Al. The AFC squad will have a strong Steelers imprint, which is pretty cool even though our season came to such a bitter and disappointing end.
 
On that note, this is a two-hand touch football game. They should take off their pads and helmets.
 
nice to see the officiating and replay reviews are just as ****** as the regular season. Just saw a terrible call on a catch by Rudolph who was hit by a Titan and fumbled....recovered by Casey of the Titans. Ruled incomplete on the field....replay showed it was a fumble.....refs ruled it incomplete. That's all I need to see.....keep on channel surfing.......
 
Mikey Regular Season just isn't having fun if he doesn't win the game in the last minute.
 
I watched a few minutes of it. It's been years since I've watched one. I mean why even ******* play the game? It's almost 2 hand touch. I didn't see anybody get tackled, they play was whistled dead after contact.
I get it, we dont want these big money guys getting hurt, but it is football. Play the game right or don't play at all.
