Who don't you want in round one?

Any player not named Roquan Smith... I want this kid, I know he probably won't be available, but I don't care.

I'm with you. I can't even think of a decent way we could jump to #10 if he is there.

35 by a **** offense that could only score one TD the previous two weeks.

Using a #1 pick on a QB when you've been very close to getting to the Super Bowl when you have big needs on D is dumb IMO.
ILB is a huge need for us, Vince and Bostic are basically the same guy, regardless of what his highlights show. Vince is in his final year, and Bostic is only signed for two seasons. Our ILBs are horrible in pass coverage, and running sideline to sideline. They are both very good attacking down hill, but teams rarely play that straight ahead game anymore. Chicago and Jax did alot of damage running outside the tackles.

35 < 45....

Archer was very small, and hard to deploy. He had many drawbacks to his game. I did not like the pick at all. Now it he was 6 feet tall and 20 pounds heavier who could be a feature back or receiver, that changes things.

As it was he was mostly a Kick return guy.

I still think that project could have succeeded, I blame the coaches, not for drafting him, but I don't think they gave him the coaching he needed to succeed. Since our special teams havent been great going back into the Cowher years, this is unsurprising. His one receiving TD was called back for a BS holding call.

35>22. Every single Steeler fan would've signed up for it, if they were told pregame that the offense would have two turnovers resulting in 10 points for Jax, but would score 42 with 500 yards offense, including you.

I don't want anyone who isn't their BPA.

BS, Because im not blind to the reality that we gave the 14 in the first game and followed with with 3 other INTs.

We didn't score 42 in that game either.

BS you know damn well if you were told our offense would score 42 and put up 500 yards prior to that playoff game you'd take it, everyone would've

The defense could not get off the field especially in key spots. If I was told the steelers would put up 42 against the great Jags D I would have ran to vegas and gave them my money. There is no way you can pin this loss on the offense. I am not sold on our CBs and safety is still an issue especially depth wise. Williams is OK and its hard to say what we will get from the guy we signed. We also have poor depth at MLB. We have one good OLB in Watt, but Dupree has been bad and we have basically no quality depth there either. We also are missing a big man up front to collapse the pocket. Basically the D has holes everywhere and very little quality players behind starters. If we waste picks on offense we will see a repeat of last year.

On offense we have all pros at QB, 2 WRs (I am counting JuJu) if Bryant gets his head on right he could join that crowd, C, G etc etc......... Big AL is probably the weak link on the line who is not terrible. Jesse James is at least very steady and McDonald can be a game changer if he stays healthy. Our RB situation is in flux, but I am sure we can find an at least serviceable RB if Bell does not sign.

I would definitely take defense in at least the first 2 rounds. We can not rebuild a defense if they dont draft them

That part, sure. That it would guarantee a win after we gave up 10+ on Offense. Nope.

Our D allowed Jags to score 14 points above their average, the O scored way above their season average

So, they also allowed less points than we scored. I know you don't want Ben to share in the blame, but the whole Team IS to blame. Coaches to players, including Ben.

If the defense plays average we win the game. Yes Ben ****** up on two plays, not 4 quarters, huge difference.
You can't honestly sit there and say the defense was anything but below average.
Which unit needs more help defense or offense?

Sure, if you want to play the IF game, if Ben gives up one less turnover we win. In those two games he threw 6 INT, 2 for TD's one for an easy FG, at least and had a fumble for a TD. That is a fail by any measure.

You can't honestly sit there and say the defense was anything but below average.

I dont know if you have ever seen me say that.

I say, the D allowed less points than the O scored. In the playoffs, it is hard enough to overcome the O giving up one TD/FG, much less 2.

the whole TEAM is to blame. Coaches to players, including Ben.

Who cares about the first game.

Jags average 22 ppg and scored 35
Steelers average 25 ppg and scored 42.
Pretty clear to see who underperformed.

Im still saying **** the coaches Offense defense special teams fans and everyone who was in the stadium. Bleeder you can put this one in your signature too

I really really really don't want Guice in the 1st round

Any QB, RB, WR or TE that will be available to us.

We need to hit on defense, bigly.

QB- Lamar Jackson Louisville
Can’t read Dr. Seuss let alone a playbook.

RB- Derrius Guice LSU
Beat up on crap run defenses and got beat down by anyone decent in run D.

WR- Any... guess the top guy Calvin Ridley
In most drafts he doesn’t sniff round one.

TE- Mark Andrews Oklahoma
He’s solid but not first round material.

OL- Any but Orlando Brown might be the most unathletic human being of all time.

DL- Vita Vea Washington
He’s a less athletic and older Tim Settle whom seems to be a 3rd round prospect.

OLB- Sam Hubbard
Don’t think he’s quick twitch enough for OLB.

ILB- Rashaan Evans Alabama
Buck thumper who’s not an elite athlete. Too much Jarvis Jones red flags.

S- Ronnie Harrison
I’d take him if we trade down and pick up a 3rd or 4th but definitely not at #28.

CB- Denzel Ward Ohio St
Just a slot CB imo not worth first round pick

Better value in round 2. Michel, Chubb, Johnson.

Round three. Ballage or Penny.

The last draft shows you don't need to be a 1st round pick to be a star. I believe any rookie we draft will average better than 4.0 yards a carry. Its not like teams that win the super bowl need star backs. Yet we spend 14.5 Million on a headache.
