While voting for the pro bowl, I stopped to notice just howgood TJ Watt is relative to his peers at linebacker

Sacks: 1[SUP]st[/SUP].Tied with Von Miller with 10.

Forced Fumbles. 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] with 4, behind Kalil Mack whohas 5

And Watt has more tackles than either Von Miller orMack. Talk about being in good company.

They talked about Mack like he had 5 sacks 12 tackles a forced fumble and a pick yesterday. TJ had the better day.

Good shots at making it but not being able to play..................

1.) Roethlesberger- pretty much a lock unless injury

2.) TJ Watt- needs to stay on pace defensive stats,

3.) Brown- isn't lighting it up but scoring TDs, keep up receptions & TDs

4.). JuJU- his popularity is through the roof, games like yesterday, shoe in

5.) Conner- has a pretty good shot but depends on playing time & overall production

6.) Davis- having great year

7.) Hayden / Hilton- both playing great on OUR team, need more big play

8.) Hayward- stretch, needs more sacks to be noticed

These are just a few. ADD if yaz want as I'm listening to game and not focusing well

Great list DIC. I don't think Davis will make it. Not enough splash plays to get noticed.

The linemen also have some possiblities. Pouncey and DeCastro are looking good. Villa is a dark horse.

Cope, I agree on Davis but he has a slight shot and yes the splash plays need to increase. I skipped OL completely but you nailed the three. Villi is an outside shot / Gilbert- due to injury not a chance, Vance- unless he makes national splash plays he's nota gonna, Foster not a chance. OUR special teams ONLY has one candidate but there isn't a PRO BOWL spot for him....... Canaday & no one else has a chance.................

Why would you waste time voting for pro bowl?

To win a trip to see the game of course! I actually take the voting somewhat serious with just a slight biases to the men in Black and gold.

Offense: Ben, Conner, AB, Ju-Ju ( a mild reach ), Villanueva( another mild reach ), DeCastro, and Pouncey
Defense: Watt, Heyward, and Haden
Special Teams: Nix

In reality I do not expect Haden , Villanueva, or Nix to make it, but 6-7 Steelers should.

Davis has no shot to make the pro bowl. He missed a few tackles last week, and remains a very poor ball skills type, dropping an easy interception vs the Jaguars.

One guy I really liked for us in round one in the 2018 draft was Justin Reid. He is killing it as a rookie safety. He took one 100+ yard to the house in the last game, and has 3 picks on the year. He also has a forced fumble and 7 PD's. What makes this even more impressive is he only started 6 of 10 games.

Davis has an outside slim chance but my real question is did you vote for Reid????

32 teams thought of him as a 3rd rounder. My guess was his anthem stance. I don't know what he has done regarding the anthem during the season, but I am glad we do not have him.

Future problem: Watt, JuJu and Connor will be due big paydays around the same time.

I used to vote and be serious about my selections until i realized (or just suspected) how many others weren't. Plus i had less and less interest in watching other teams to see what players i thought were good.

Kazee is having a fantastic year. So is Swearinger, Williams, and Bates. Those guys got my votes first four votes. You can have six, so my last two choices were H Smith, and Reid.

The game is a joke now, I agree.

His film as a coverage man was excellent, as were his combine numbers. I think his brother's shadow on the anthem hurt his stock, which is too bad because character should not be based on the family you were born into.

I'd rather have him over Washington, and Edmunds to be honest. The Steelers may have miscalculated on Morgan Burnett. With our pass rush, the safeties should be feasting. They are not. I did like Edmunds and mocked him in rounds 2-3 and do not think he's a bust.

The Pro Bowl is a joke as far as the voting goes. Do YOU really think your votes counts for anything????? The NFL will tell you yea / sure / you bet, but why do you get so many votes and times to vote............IF IT WAS LEGITIMATE you would get one vote for each position and that's it. Not multiple times to vote multiple times. The vote that counts are the coaches vote and the player's vote with of course the NFL Hierarchy to over rule to what they desire. So voting is a worthless cause.

I will say, I think Hilton is the best nickel corner in the league. It's not even close with as much as this guy can do. He can cover huge TEs, speedy WRs, tough bruising RBs, he tackles exceptionally well, can rush the passer or play deep safety. I'm not sure how corners are selected, and if they only select outside corners with big INT/PD numbers, he will get lost in the wash, but he's easily a pro bowler in my eyes.

it wasn't just his relationship to Eric, he had a video stating that he supported them, but I don't recall if he said he would not follow suit. I think he avoided that question.

It might be a good idea to vote for TWO slot corners for the pro bowl and SIX " Starting Cornerbacks "

Per the Steelers (Dom Rinelli)

TJ Watt is one of 6 NFL linebackers to have at least 17 sacks in their first career 25 games since 2000

Other names
Von Miller
Aldon Smith
Shawne Merrman
Clay Matthews
Terrell Thuggs

Our D is night and day depending on whether Hilton is out there or not. Yet another great value acquisition by the front office.

It seemed like they were having him in coverage way to much but NOW there seems to be a nice balance of kill QB vs coverage. I truely think he will surpass JJ's career.
