After 3 days who stands out

I think Mayock has improved the Raiders position drastically
Honourable mentions to the Redskins, Eagles, Packers and Patriots

As for the Steelers I think overall we did pretty well. Like Bush, Layne, Snell and Buggs picks especially
Don't know enough about D. Johnson yet but the special teams may benefit and he's got some quick feet off the line from some tape I just watched.

We already have 10 UDFA kicking competition and a Safety most notable

Browns ******* Pats Ravens was not bad. We got our biggest missing link. I am happy with ours.

Hard to say when it just ended. But on paper probably the Jags, Packers, Pats, Titans & Broncos seemed to have good hauls.

I actually really like our draft besides whiffing on Hakeem Butler (although the team had plenty of chances at him so I guess they weren’t as interested as I was)

But the more I watch on Diontae, the more I like it. I’m excited about the kid. He brings so much of what AB brought

I think the Panthers had the best draft. Burns is a top 10 talent, Little was a first round talent, Grier could become trade bait in a few years as he has a ton of talent, Miller was the most talented Bama Edge rushers, Scarlett should be a nice compliment to McCaffrey, Daley probably turns into a starter and Godwin has a shot at being a slot receiver.

i really only look at it as what teams drafted starters for them.
i only see bush for us
baltimore got 3-4
cleveland 1
houston 3
colts 2-3
chiefs 2
chargers 2
pats 3-4
titans 2-3
and almost all of those teams were better than us last year

Bush Johnson and layne should eventually start

Colts had a great draft.

My pre-season AFC champ pick.

Why wouldn't you pick the STEELERS? What is your reasoning behind us NOT being AFC champs...............????

Salute the nation

Calling it as I see them..
Colts are a very good young team on the rise with a Super Bowl caliper QB.

And they just had a top notch draft

PFF Awards Steelers Best Draft Grade In AFC North At ‘Above Average’
https://Invalid Link - Check SN Hom...st-draft-grade-in-afc-north-at-above-average/

For as much flak as you all love to give Pro Football Focus, perhaps you might appreciate this: the site gave the Pittsburgh Steelers a rating of ‘above average’ for their 2019 NFL Draft class. They handed out only five or six ‘excellent’ ratings, and they tended to go to the teams who had premium prospects fall into their laps, while the Steelers had to move up to get theirs.

And every other team in the AFC North received only an ‘average’ grade for their selections. Broken down by day, here is what they had to see about each installment of the draft as it relates to the Steelers’ activity.

“The Steelers had to give up picks Nos. 20 and 52 in the 2019 NFL Draft and a third-rounder in the 2020 NFL Draft to get him, but former Michigan off-ball linebacker Devin Bush has a very good chance to be worth the extra draft capital if he can bring his play in Ann Arbor to Pittsburgh”, they wrote of the team’s first-round pick, Devin Bush.

“He is a freakishly athletic linebacker with outstanding coverage and pass-rushing ability compared to his peers in this year’s class”, they went on. “He’s also a tone-setter on the defensive side of the ball who craves contact and knows how to lay the boom. He also earned 90.2 and 85.0 overall grades in 2017 and 2018, respectively”.

The Steelers ended up with only two picks on day two, and used them on wide receiver Diontae Johnson and cornerback Justin Layne. Of the former, Johnson was called “a favorite of practically everyone at the PFF offices”, describing him as “a superb route runner that will be a nightmare” to cover. On Layne, they called him “quite a steal” and noted he had among the best coverage grades of Power-5 players last season.

They singled out Sutton Smith and Isaiah Buggs for comment of the Steelers’ six selections on the third day of the draft, noting that Smith “should make the transition to off-ball linebacker and bring pass-rush upside in the NFL”. He recorded the second-most pressures in the FBS last season by their reckoning.

On Buggs, who played a larger role in Alabama’s defense in 2018 because of injuries, they said that the increased workload lowered his overall performance. He particularly graded better as a run defender in 2017 than a season ago. But he did have nearly 10 sacks last year, something the Steelers need off the bench from their front line.

The other four players the Steelers selected on day three, of course, were running back Benny Snell in the fourth round, tight end Zach Gentry in the fifth, inside linebacker Ulysees Gilbert III in the sixth, and offensive lineman Derwin Gray in the seventh.

maybe i should have clarified: starters this season.
i agree that johnson will more than likely start next year
this year tho:
johnson as a returner and maybe some slot
i dont see layne starting over haden or nelson and if one of those guys gets hurt even before hilton or burns to be honest

maybe because
we didnt even make the playoffs
colts, pats chiefs, texans, and chargers, ravens are better
we couldnt even win our weak division
our division is much tougher this year
our offense will be worse

Steelers, mother **** what those other teams did.

Our team is the only one that matters.

mmmyeah ok, alright. rah, rah, team and whatnot, ok then....

anyway, yeah, i think the browns, colts and yes it sucks, but even new england did well for themselves...

My pre-season AFC champ pick.

Yes they did. Clowns did ok as well.

I was shocked at the NYG.. WTF are they doing? Daniel Jones? Seriously? With Josh Allen and Oliver sitting right there you take a ******* QB that played a Duke? You have Wilkins sitting there as well.

Oh and TB took another kicker in the 5th.. I don't get that.

Anyway I don't give a **** what people's perception of those teams are. If I want to rah rah I will. As I am excited about the off-season approach they have taken. Seriously why should I give a flying **** what other teams do?
