Where's all my Tomin haters who were talking all that "5 years w/o playoff win" ****

Ben got hurt and the momentum/confidence of the team was shot.
The team's leader was in the locker room and Landry came on with a dry vag, queefing all over the field.

SOMEONE made the decision to put Ben back in. I'd reckon it wasn't Landry.
WHO could that be?

Again. We had superior clock management both halves scoring an easy 6 points in the first and second half endings. Way to come back Ben. We couldn't have won with Jones!

We wouldn't have won with Ben either, we NEEDED Burfict AND Jones to win this game. Burfict's penalty would've made it a 50yd attempt, Jones sealed the deal, so I guess our MVP should be Joey Porter for smirking that smirk that made PacMan lose his ****.

Cowher called down to the field and bullied Tomlin.

Steelers were badly outcoached, particularly Haley. Steelers won because McCarron can't throw a wet ball and the Bengal self destructed.

The Bengals lost their starting S and CB and the steelers still couldn't move the ball through the air aside from a big run after catch by AB. Haley never figured out what the Bengals were doing.

I understand the passing game was awful, but if the refs give Shazier the TD (as they should have), the Steelers win that game running away.

Ben said so in his presser.

Coach: "Can you go, son?"

Ben: "I'll give you all I've got"

Coach: "Get in there"

Wouldn't trade either one for anyone else. GO STEELERS.

I Tomlin was outpaced again tonight, the absolutely stupid decision to go for 2, the stupidity of having Ben throw the ball up 15 on 3rd and 18 against a team that wanted to headhunt him. We won DESPITE Tomlin.

Going for 2 made perfect sense. Makes it a 3 score game if it's good, if not, the Bengals would need 2 touchdowns, and would need to make a 2pt conversion after one of the touchdowns. If Tomlin had kicked, the Steelers still would have been down 1 late, because Cincy would have kicked the PAT after their last td, instead of going for 2.

I'm right here.

Not the best decision to go for two and not go up by 16. Foolish decision to have Ben throwing on 3rd-and-18 after that heated sequence when the Bengals would make every effort to hurt him. Stupid decision to put Landry Jones out there trailing by one, with the season on the line, when evidently Ben was able to go.

But the Steelers won, and I am happy. Congratulations to the team, and Tomlin.

You know what i walk away from this one and forget it... We got screwed and lucky at the same time ... Hard to judge it... Move on andbe happy

I will give Tomlin FULL KUDOS for going with Touisaint and Toddman. They were absolutely great today. Didn't like the 2 point up by 15, but as it was it wouldn't have made a difference unless they got their 2.
As for the rest of it, I think it was just Karma for a skid mark of a city. **** the Bengals, I piss on their misery.

Didn't I include you on the text I sent to both Tomlin and Ben? It was pretty intense......

Hated the two point try. And the play call that got Ben killed was awful. But that one is more of a Haley/Ben issue than Tomlin.

Actually, I'd say that was all Ben. He should've gotten rid of the ball, even if no one was open, just whip it as far as he could b/c and int is as good as a punt from that spot. Instead he ran right into Burflicshit's arms all on his own. No one to blame but Ben on that play. It seems every time Ben gets hurt its b/c he held onto the ball too long, you think he'd learn by now...

True, but that is just a good individual play. It doesn't cover that the offense was terrible even with Ben. And i don't think the defensive gameplan was that great either. Many of the stops were because McCarron couldn't throw the wet ball. They had guys open and eventually they did make a few plays and took the lead.

The blitzes became predictable. Lebeau always had a few things saved up for late in the game to trip up rookie QBs. Butler seemed to just keep doing the same things and the Bengals caught on and started moving the ball.

Did anybody think the defense would not give up the go ahead TD?

The complaints about the 2 point make no strategic sense.

16 points does not help you in any way that 15 points don't. It's two possessions either way. 17 points makes it a 3 possession game.

The Two Point was UNEQUIVOCALLY the right call.

Yeah, I am really confused about people who have issue with the 2 pointer, neither math nor football is their strong point! I was literally yelling at the TV for them to go for two to put it at 17 point game til I saw they were. That was a no brainer.

if there's a coach to blame today I would say it is Haley, pedestrian offense having son many weapons in the passing game. And those long routes on obvious passing downs? the blitz coming was obvious, where were the check routes to get rid of it quickly? Totally Arians-like

Once again, Time is important in the decision. If it's in the 4th quarter, then you go for 2 because it could essentially end the game by making it 3 scores. But going for 2 as early as they did was a mistake because at that point, you had to assume there would be more scoring, by both teams.

It wasn't horrible to go for 2 there but i do think it was a mistake in a game where the score was so low and you were having trouble scoring. I would have taken the more sure thing.

I had no problem with going for 2. Ben threw a bad pass on it. Not Tomlins fault. Hindsight is 20/20. Steelers stopping the Bungles on there 2 point conversion was huge also at the time.

I disagree wholeheartedly, the call was a no brainer, and there really isn't a logical argument to be made that 16 points was better than 15 points at that stage of the game, in fact the only difference in the game was it caused it to be 18-16 instead of 19-17.

Back to the original post, a friend of mine (ravens fan) noted after the game: "Steelers won because they were coached well and did not allow themselves to get out of control like the Bengals."

as far as that goes, both teams were poorly coached, but we had 140+ yards I think, more than Cincy even, we had at least three fifteen yarders agasint us off the top of my head and all Three killed great field position
