What you just witnessed...

The browns are not a bad team

Yeah, that was a ****** game. I didn't understaind why they didn't work Samuels or Ridley in, Conner was gassed out there, even before his fumble. Maybe they got away with playing Bell 99% of the snaps, the coaches needed to adapt, which they did not. We could have won this game with a running game in the 4th. Rotate in Samuels 6-8 plays and keep Conner fresh for the 4th. Didn't make any sense to me. Besides that, Ben was too loose with the ball, the rain didn't help. Sucked to start the year this way, but I'd take little or nothing away from this game. The D actually played decent most of the game, so there's that. Boswell missing a gimme game winner was as crucial to this as anything. Oh well, move on the the Chiefs.

On that rain soaked field that wasn't a gimme FG.

Ugly game. Roethlisberger had two interceptions that were just plain stupid. "Hey, let's throw it among three white jerseys and see what happens. Oh, not good, but watch this - I just toss an ersatz punt into the air and hope the defender drops it. Oops again."

Further, the hold-the-ball-until-AB-gets-open strategy sucks llama balls. James is open over the middle. Conner is open for an easy 10 yards. Nope, hold the ball forever and a day and let the pass rush get there, despite very good protection.

Frustrating. Should have won the game despite terrible weather and terrible play. The bullshit calls on the punt fumble and the Conner fumble where the defender then fumbles it into the endzone were game-changing. Both were simply awful, and should have been reversed. Instituting the new "**** it, let it stand unless it hurts the Patsies" rule was in play.

I'm sure that standard will be changed as soon as the Patsies need a reversal.

The browns are not a bad team

Oh I agree. I think they will be a factor in who wins the Division this year. But around here, they are "just the Browns." I mean, if they are just the Browns, how in the hell did the Steelers end up looking more like the Browns than the Browns?

Oh yeah, it was Tomlin and the rain.

What we witnessed was living in our fears. Tomlin always says they don't live in their fears but time and time again, that is exactly what they do.

They are afraid Ben might get hurt in the pre-season so he is one of the very few starting QB's that only plays a couple series in one game. Two years in a row now, Ben has been terrible to start the season because he is not sharp and he is not in sync with his receivers during real game speed (not practice).

Then, we have all witnessed countless times where we go in an ultra-conservative shell way too early. He is living in the fear of the team making a mistake. Well, we had a 2 TD lead today but in this league, that is not safe unless you are inside the 2 minute warning. We went in a shell with almost 10 minutes to play and had one miscue that resulted in a TD and then a 2nd miscue that resulted in a tie game. Then, adding insult to injury, we get inside the Browns 40 in OT and instead of continue to try and gain yardage and even maybe get a TD, we went ultra-conservative and settled for a 42 yard FG try in terrible conditions.

Next time he says that statement someone needs to call him out on it on the spot. Sure, the O could have played better (particularly Ben) along with the D. But, none of that even happens if he isn't constantly living in his fears.

2 Snail ball when you are up two TDs.

4 Not playing Ben much in the preseason, I hate this approach and continues to show rust game 1

These two. ******* turtle ball up 21-7. Run, run, run, punt. Like 3 possessions in a row. I understand using some clock, but you have to move the chains too. Ben played what, one quarter in pre-season? It showed. You can practice all you want to, but you ain't gonna simulate a real game.

I'm blaming all the white players . (this is satire, please leave your multicultural hoseshit behind)

Ben for all the turnovers
Punter for the ****** punt early
Boz for the missed easy FG
jesse James for missing a catch and causing a pick.

I totally agree, add in a new OC, a new RB, two new wrs, and the game was in horrible weather, I expected the O to be kind of ******.
We have no one after AB and JuJu that's a threat, that killed us and that's where we missed Bell was those late drives.
Our FG kicker missed a 42 yarder to win it too, his kicks drifted left on his Pat's too, he didn't ever give that kick a chance

First off...Great game Connor, if the "All-Pro" QB didn't play bush league like he does in these games, you would have been on the bench...no fumble. Thanks to Ben for that!
Second: Tomlin is a loser...this was another "Tomlin Classic" over 100 yards in penalties, horrible second half play calling, no balls to pull the starter that is hurting the TEAM! that's right, its a TEAM sport. Dobbs would have interjected a whole new feel to the game.
Instead Tomlin and Ben go on with their loser game plan. Defense actually looked good, but then again it was the Browns!

Totally a Browns win, Steelers loss....early prediction: Ravens take the AFC North easy. Solid football, no drama, everyone playing 60 minutes

Please...all you Tomlin loves, defend him AGAIN after another loss to a team that hasn't won in two years!

Out played by Blake Bortles and Tie Rod Taylor

quite the streak they have going

The defense did a good job. @#$%ing Steelers turned the ball over SIX TIMES, one of which led directly (though erroneously as the defender fumbled into the endzone) to a TD.

The defense gave up 14 points, and only one drive where the D looked bad. The DB's were playing a lot of man and doing a damn good job of it. The pass rush (mainly Watt) was quite good. If the D continues on this path, I take it every day of the week, and twice on Sundays.

Now about that amazing offense ...

First, it was six turnovers.

Second, while I agree the game turned on that call, if you are a SB contender, you should be able to over come that. Against the Browns. I mean, it was just the Browns.

Third, Boz missed that field goal. Who the **** plays for a 42 yard field goal in a monsoon?

What a **** show. No excuse. You are up 14 going into the 4th. No excuse.

Up 14 nearly midway through the 4th.
With the friggin ball.

Ben: Live my the sword and will die by the sword. I'm just going to call him Forrest Gump, because you never know which Ben you're gonna get.

Why did we get rid of Haley if Sphincter is going to do the same BS play calling he did?

Berry sucks. His punting was mediocre, at best and messed up the hold of the FG miss.

The D, AB and Conner came to play. They are lucky they got out of CLEV with a tie. Lucky.

How much did Ben play in preseason? People are seriously downplaying that fail.

Every commentator said it was a bad snap and the holder did a very good job.
