What was your favorite non Steeler Super Bowl and why?

I really hated that the Fridge scored a TD in the Super Bowl and Payton didn't. Really, that was an awful decision.

Super Bowl XVIII...

It was the day our first child and oldest of our 3 daughters was born.

Jets vs. Colts. I was only 8 years old but my dad had me watching because Joe Namath was from 7 miles up the road in Beaver Falls.
I was living in Baltimore at that time..the city was heartbroken. ..I remember telling my friends ...we are too cocky I don't like the feel of this..they just laughed at me..there was no laughing as we watched the Colts fold

Both times the Giants DL took it to Brady

Me too. I was 8, almost 9 years old. I thought Joe Namath was awesome. I remember my Dad laughed at me when I told him the Jets would win. He said, "No, the Colts still have Unitas". Well, they did have Unitas, although he only played at the end if I remember right. And you know, being 8, when it was over, I said, "I told you they'd win!" LOL One of may favorite memories. My Dad died 10 years later. But he is the one who taught me to love the game.

In retrospect ... SB III. The AFL beating the NFL sped up the merger talks culminating in the Steelers move to the newly formed AFC ... and the rest is gridiron history ....

The Pats* losing to the Giants during their undefeated season was the most memorable for me, hands down.

Anytime the Patriots lose is great game. But I liked the Bears '85 Super Bowl. Oh yeah they beat the Patriots. The only thing that would have made it better would have been if Walter Payton had gotten a touchdown.

Damn.....I was going to say all of that. My choice too.

As for me I will have to go with the XLII. Watching the *s perfect season come to a end at what had to be the most heartbreaking time. I remember hearing Tommy Boy being told the one of the Giants predicted a 21-17 victory, and Brady audibly chuckled and said "we are only going to score 17 points?! and giggled again. They only got 14. The Giants put up 17 and New England went into disbelief. Couldnt happen to a nicer bunch.

NE being upset by NY was good. I also liked NE upsetting the Rams, who were 14 point favorites and I predicted before the game, that NE would cover the points and had a 50% of winning the game. I was right.

The Bills-Giants SB was really good, even though I bet $ of the Bills winning, it was amazing to see Big Tuna upset the much more talented Bills, with a back up QB no less.

Rams / Titans. My son was born in St. Louis and I lived there all through the greatest show on turf (and the year before).

I'm not a Rams fan but it was still a great time to live there.

And that game kept you on the edge of your seat until the final second.

Redskins-Dolphins. My hatred for Dallas in the 70s made the Redskins by far my second favorite team. I was also sick of Shula being regarded as a genius, while Noll got little love from the national media. When Riggins broke that long run, I was a very happy boy. Also enjoyed the whipping Doug Williams unleashed on Denver a few years later. Denver over Green bay was another, as I was sick of the AFC taking a beating every year, and having to hear about it from the national media. Obviously the two Cheats losses were great. Last year suuuuucked!

At first I was going to say none but after reading a couple of posts of the Giants beating the Pats****(twice)...I will have to agree also.

POP talked shot let's see if he can admit he was 100% wrong and the Newton sucks

Cam had a great season....simply a bad SB. Let's see how he does next season.

Giants > New England

I'd hafta say the Rams win vs Titans. The game was great but I was happy for Dick Vermeil one of my favorite non-Steeler coaches. I always loved his passion for the game.

Well, talk about a non sequitur. I am happy to discuss Cam in an appropriate thread. What is wrong with you?
