What the hell is with these contracts?

I don't care if Shazier signs a deal for 50 million to hold a clipboard all year, Bud is being SEVERELY overpaid. What Tomlin and Co. sees in him is a great mystery of the world.

Wait, so you mean Bud's 2.5 combined tackles per game and .3 sacks per game are not good?

LOL, You forgot that 1 interception too...that must be like a 7 million dollar INT.

Chick or Ola would match Bud's stats at a fraction of the cost, no doubt

Wild speculation.

This is what I have been trying to tell you. These contracts that are getting thrown out distort the market value of even average players.

I see that, but no way I'm paying a guy 9 million that averages 2.5 tackles and .3 sacks a game, I don't care if he's been here.

Texans signing Roby, 1 year, 10M deal

Preston Smith of the Redskins is an edge rusher who started all 16 games last year and had 4 sacks. He got 13 mil per year on 4 year deal from the Packers.
His career per game averages in sacks and tackles is near identical to Bud. Whether many will admit it, Bud is an average OLB in the NFL. Not a star and not
a dud.

I still think the Steelers should give AB a huge F U and not tender his trade.

Screw him and his diva ***.

Tell the Raiders to Anti up

All these contracts have me thinking the players sense a lock out coming and are trying to get paid up front.

I wouldn't have been against that, but maybe the Raiders are the only team that was willing to give him a new deal, other GM's knew if he didn't get a new deal he wouldn't show so that stopped pretty much everyone from trading. That's what would make trading for him appealing, his remaining contract, but if he was going to no show, no one was going to trade for him and sign him with all that baggage, well except one team.

I would have traded him to the Bills for their 7th round pick and called AB's bluff. Was he really going to walk away from 3 years salary?
