What our TE alignment looks like now.

Starters in the base Offense, Not counting if we go into the Wildcat (which we have never done) Mcdonald, James

3 TE set: Could be McDonald, James, Grimble

4 TE Set Could be Mcdonald, James Grimble, Johnson

If we need a 5 TE Set we could pull McGee off the practice squad cause that seems to be the only life he will have on this team

We still don't have a proven Wildcat QB, (Ben is too old and slow for this role), and we still don't have a back up FB I'd feel comfortable with. But now we can have a better passing game as McDonald has great breakaway speed, and Johnson Can be a back up as a blocker.


Dare I say the run game doesn't have to be deployed as much in 2016?

2 things...

1) thank you soooo much for developing this very needed and thought provoking thread, this board truly needs many more like this. May I suggest a thread about what the FB alignment looks like now? It seems it would be a logical next step.

2) This makes me adjust my final 53 so that McDonald, James, Grimble, DJ and McGee make the roster so we can fully abort the run game and go 5 TIGHT *******!!!

We could dress all our linemen and have them report in as TE's. We would then have 10 lineman on the field with Bell at wild cat. And then THROW the ball!
