What Mandate Would You Give New Coach

First, I introduce him to a ham BBQ sammich with a side of haluski and a cold Iron in a chilled glass. The sound of Bing Crosby's Hop Scotch Polka plays lightly in the background as we feast on that glorious meal and talk serious ball.

1. Thou must have a violent defense. We have a tradition of having NFL rules names after players.
2. You whilst not lose to the Browns...ever...especially in the palyoffs!
3. Ravens week is one of intensity and hyper focus, no mess'n arahnd!
4. Steeler Nation expects Superbowl's, and now they learnt that booing and chanting for your head results in firings, you better deliver cuz they have a short fuse right now

Start the rebuild with both lines. The DL got a start last draft, but Cam is nearly done and Bennet was never a great fit for the scheme. The OL is just terrible. Fautanu looked poor as the season wore on and Jones looks to be a bust. We might have a center and right guard, Seumalu (sic) and his overblown salary need to go. Find an OL coach who will build a big, mean, dominating OL!

Fautanu was a rookie who played well overall. Not worried one bit about him. Jones was better than some give him credit for. I don't share your concerns at all with needing an overhaul on the O-line, we need a guard another swing tackle potential starter. More importantly we need a fresh scheme and coach. Meyers was doing better but we get to see something new now.

Blink every now and then.
Don't blow kisses to the crowd.

Is chest pumping still in the narrative or out completely ???

Salute the nation

I'd like the new HC to commit to coordinators "smarter than him", and to be the guy managing their strategy, the game flow, etc. I'd love a coach who could become the source of fierce loyalty, and at the same time be able to make calls on vets and marginal roster spots. i dont want a media darling, but rather a simple man who commands respect from day 1. Ideally, a combo of Vrabel and McVay would be very appealing.

And I'd like the coach to commit to scoring 10+ points in the first quarter of multiple games in year 1, regardless of player situation. Get the lead, then defend that lead

Don’t embarrass the fans and the good citizens of the city of Pittsburgh.
Up hold the values of the Chief of family faith and Steeler football..
Follow the three B’s philosophy of leadership communication, which is;
Be clear, Be brief, and Be gone during press conferences and other interactions with the media, especially when their intent is to disparage the franchise, the players, or the fans.
Understand that this position of head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers, goes well beyond fielding and managing the players that wear the uniform. This is a civic responsibility that must be taken very seriously and with your upmost attention and dedication.

Thank you, sir

How about drafting the three Killer Bee's on Offense ........ Broad-shouldered & Better than Big Ben, Balanced & Bullish like Bell, Boundless, Blessed & Behaved unlike Brown..lol

Win a playoff game once in a while.

What mandate would I give?
Depends. If he’s a younger guy I’d fix him up for a date with Bill Cowher to learn from him how he achieved success.
