I know we have a thread about Heath with many of well deserved thank yous for 83. I was wondering what were some of your favorite Heath Miller moments?

For me the clip that runs through my head is his td reception in his rookie year v the colts in the divisional round.

It wasn't a long ball or a great feat of athleticism ( I don't even think it was the longest play he had on that drive) but, the catch had an air of confidence the way he tucked it in, and "spiked" it (wasn't really a spike but didn't know what to call it) that sent the message we were going be around all day, and this rookie was the Rock of consistency even in a big moment in his rookie year.

Won't see the hall of fame, with today's hyper inflated TE numbers, but will probably go down as the last great "true" tight end who was expected to both block and receive.

He was certainly that guy who was like the jones to Montana, or novachek to aikman.

The pass he caught down the seam the next week in Denver. Even though it wasn't a TD, all the other things you said, about being around all day. It seemed to be the play that got the offense rollng that day.

Heath down the seam in general. Always seemed to find a way to get behind the defender for a big gain. One of my favorite plays in the playbook.

His greatest statistical season was 2012, but I have to say his 2005 playoffs / SB run... was magical.............

For me it was the 87 yd TD against Miami Dolphins to open up the 2006 season. I didn't think he would every get to the endzone.

I'm not really a jersey guy. Too old for that stuff, I always thought. Where the hell would I wear it? Anyway, I did think if I was to get one, it would be Heath Miller. I was a TE many years ago, so it seemed to fit. I just put it off. I wish I would have gotten one. What a class guy.

Being drafted..every block...every catch...Heeeeath was a Steeler. .thru and thru...thanks for everything Big Money !

Has to be the santonio Holmes touchdown against the Ravens in the afc championship. The great thing about it is how much of a metaphor it is for his career. He starts in the backfield as a blocker for Ben, then hustles all the way down the field to be the lead blocker for Holmes on his way to the end zone. To me, it was the perfect example of unselfishness and high effort. Not to mention how big of a play it was in the afc championship against the damn rats.

One play in particular does not stand out. He just simply made plays in almost every game plus was an excellent blocker. I sure will miss yealling HEATHHHHH every Sunday! What the heck, maybe we should just keep yelling it every time a steelers tight end catches a ball!

One that stands out for me was the run in 05 where we were expected to be destroyed by the Colts and out of the gate, Heath makes a deep catch on the secondary and sets the tone right off the bat.

You knew right then and there the Steelers were there to play.

Heath was just such a ******* stud from go. Love that guy. Full on Steeler.

Mine was a few years ago, against the Ravens, he caught the ball around the one or two yard line, got hit at least four or five times, didn't go down until he stretched the ball over the line.

He would make defenders furious in a similar way that Ward did with his smile. He'd take a massive hit, just pop right up and run to the huddle. Tough as nails.

He is sure going to be missed. His toughness and style was what won me over.

Before we rejoice over a TE blocking, let us not forget that Mark Bruener was called "the best blocking TE in the NFL" by Cowher and the team....and over all, he couldn't carry Heath's jock strap. SO, yes, it was great Heath was a solid blocker, but without also having his receiving skills, he would be just another Breuner, which wasn't much. Heath could do it all.
