Guy's snaps have been bad all season. Gives away 7 points to the Rams. Gets suspended for two games, comes back, and has several more ****** snaps yesterday. You'd think Pouncey would have had enough time to work on fixing whatever is wrong during his mini-vacation. Evidently not.

They're paying this guy 8 figures a year, and he can't perform the fundamental job of his position consistently? C'mon, man.

age is cathing up to him

Seems he is having trouble adapting to the new rule reducing maximum cleat stud length. Shortened them by 1/4" making him that much closer to the ground which changes the elbow bend that he has built into muscle memory.

Seriously - he has had some issues this year. Change of QB shouldn't impact that much in my mind...just fire it back there...but perhaps he is trying to change something for the QB. I doubt that is the case though. Yes, I am spit balling a bit.

I agree and generally think this is a concern along the entire Line. AV has struggled this year, Foster has looked old, Pouncey has had some pretty erratic snaps and the "no snap" call yesterday was pretty bad. We've taken these guys for granted for years now. Gotta start investing draft picks in the offense as a whole and that includes the line.

Finney did better without the bad snaps, maybe he is just old, but the OL plays as a unit, so maybe they get it together

I agree we need some new blood in there before they all turn grey

You included that like some knock against him -- am I reading that right? I have a soft spot for the group in your sig but you seem to whine as much as Thom Yorke does in a lot of his songs.

No, you didn't read it right. I've got no problem with him sticking up for his quarterback. I included it because he's been struggling with snap accuracy all year, had nothing better to do for those two weeks he was suspended than get it rectified, and he still sucks, is overrated, and overpaid.

Which part of that "whine" seems inaccurate to you?

The bolded, for starters. And not just this post, you're negative about a lot of things IMO. Just one fan's opinion and you may just have ridiculously high standards.

Pouncey is not living up to his standard. Obviously...

His standard is substandard...

Finney is a god damned sieve

This, 100%.

Look at this page , and tell me our drafting of OL isn't pathetic, woeful, downright embarassing.

It is time to start rebuilding the line. C and LG first

Foster could be a cap casualty at LG. Not sure who replaces him but he's not getting another contract from the Steelers.

Pouncey would cost $11M to cut next year, $6M in dead money and $5M in cap space. He's around at least 1 more year. He's an $8M cap savings if cut for the 21' season. Could be a restructure year if his performance is still high as he will only be 32.

I was looking at over the cap last night. There is some room to move. Chick cut woudl saves us 5M. Foster is 4M. Big Dan is 1.5M. Berry is 1.8M.

Alualu is 2.75 but I think he is unlikely. He has been an important part of the team with Tuitt out and was already important part of the rotation before Tuitt injury. I guess it depends on if they retain Hargrave or not.

Barron and McDonald are 5M each if cut pre-june one but I think that is unlikely. More likely restructures there. Heyward could restructure as well.

I think Pouncey and Ben are a matched set till retirement of either/both.

You must have missed some of my more upbeat comments, like these (which I found in just a few seconds with a simple search):

"Given the big playmaking ability of the defense, the Steelers can remain competitive with a mobile game manager at QB. And that's exactly what Duck is.

Noticed and thought Watt's exchange with Tomlin was cool.

Yards per attempt is another important number to look at here, as Duck's is better than Ben's at this point. Sure, Hodges is not throwing for many yards -- because they are being very conservative, but he's still maximizing his small amount of attempts."

My standards for a professional center start with snapping the ball to the quarterback accurately. How about yours?
