I have a brisket marinating in the fridge in some of my homemade Rub. It will hit the slow cooker early this morning. It will be in its natural environment with beans and barbeque sauce at game time. Some nice cold beer and things will be good as far as I can control them. The rest will be up to the black and gold.

40s of Colt 45! Every time the Colts score a TD I have to chug what's left. I bought a case. Hope it's enough. I just might die today!

Is it true that the only people that eat brisket are from Texas ? I spent a couple years in White Settlement in the 80's and had never heard of brisket before and to tell the truth...not a whole bunch since leaving the DFW area.

I am hankerin' for some Isaly's chipped ham BBQ sammiches though...and some of them chips in the silver foil bags ( can't remember the name ).

Snyders, Chip.

Neighbor just dropped off a few heads of cabbage so I'll fry up some local slab bacon, fry the cabbage and onions in the bacon grease transfer it all to a big pot and let it simmer for an hour or two then add some noodles and chop and add the bacon.

Flatbread pIzza, wings, salad, and whatever else looks good on the menu at BJ's Brewhouse here in OKC. Will pick up 30 minutes before the game.

I am going to the NC State Fair. Deep fried Oreo's for this guy.

Mayonnaise sandwich - thick mayo on two slices of white bread, with a tall glass of tap water.

*gag!*

A buddy of mine always has this running gag about making bets where the loser has to eat a microwaved mayonnaise and onion sandwich, and of course I never take the bait, lol.

Might be true. I had never heard of it till I moved to Texas either. That particular cut of beef is used to make corned beef in other parts of the world. I have never cooked it in a slow cooker before so hopefully it turns out.

If anybody lives near Tibs send him some food his idea of food sounds awful, meals on wheels would be a huge upgrade for him.

Hot cappicolo on bagels with garlic schmear for breakfast. Lemon pepper grilled wings for gametime.

Tony Luke's Italian roast pork sandwich. It's a roast pork with broccoli rabe, sharp provolone, and juice. If you are ever in Philly make sure you get one because it may be the one of the greatest things ever created by man. Seriously, if more people experienced it then there would be world peace.

Just for the superstitious out there, we all need to do exactly what we did on Sunday for the rest of the season, I have three more loads of brisket for the slow cooker they will be in the freezer today and removed the day before the game to thaw. If it works I'll be going back to the store for more. As I figure it we all have to do our part.
