Yeah he looked bad vs GB, but these past two weeks he's barely allowed a catch and Cincy and Baltimore hardly threw his way. The PI on him vs Wallace was just trash, he played that absolutely perfect! He broke up a TD in the end zone, I guess you could ***** he didn't go get it, but Wallace made a nice play and knocked it away, but he did stop a TD.
I look in multiple threads and people are saying how ****** he was, I'm not seeing it.

Nor am I...as a second year guy he has the occasional mental lapse but hes been pretty good otherwise IMO

Burns is a bit an enigma. He usually offers good coverage and has top ball skills. However, he's a bit mistake prone and not the best in run support.

Then again, if your the opposing QB with film study and an offensive coordinator who knows what he's doing, would you target Burns, OR Davis, Mitchell, or Sensabaugh?

Easy decision and perhaps reason why the ball is not coming his way as often.

Burns is playing well. He's coming along just fine and when Haden returns - they will have formidable duo of cover guys.

Yeah would like to see better run support, but we shouldn't be expecting our cover corner to come up and make tackles very often

I think those who are considered "cover corners" are, unlikely to be top tacklers, too.

However, I have to give Coach props for this evaluation

So, are they not throwing his way because he is a good cover corner or for the above reason?

I'm not sure but I know the past two weeks when he was thrown at he was glued to the wr, broke up a pass to AJ Green in the end zone last week too.

Obviously you're refering to Davis.

Defense is overrated

Offense wins games

As long as we have Ben and AB we are never out of a game.

amen

Losing Haden was devastating for this defense and then you lose your ILB and it puts this defense where it is. I think it was a mistake starting Spence and not Fort but maybe I'm missing something. Moats is to slow as is Spence. I don't have the answer but we have to try something different than we did last night.

Brady has all their pictures taped to his locker door and spanks the monkey at just the sight of all four.

Tom I thinks Artie excels in man to man coverage and does well. But when you ask him to play zone, forget about it. He’s fricking lost. He just looks too confused.

Burns went through a few weeks where he wasn't stellar, but people seem to forget he's a second year player. There are still growing pains. He is much better at man coverage than zone, so I put that on the coaches to utilize him properly. The past couple of weeks he's played very well, and I have no doubt he will continue to grow into an outstanding corner.
