Bengals be the Bengals in OT. Denver wins. So our only hope is a Steeler win + a Jets loss.

If that happens and the Broncos win vs SD or Cin loses we play @Cin in wild card

If Denver loses and KC wins we will play @kc

I'm not getting my hopes up.. seems like any team I'm rooting for anymore just finds a way to lose when it comes to games that matter. It's been a bad year for my sports teams.

I will be glued to the tv, but I just don't have a lot of faith when it comes to backing into the playoffs. I am so disappointed in this team right now I can't hardly watch. GO BILLS!!!!!!!

I invest way too much of myself with my beloved Steelers. Say that tho, I'm at the point that I don't give a damn what happens this weekend. Not using anymore mental and emotional energy on the 2015 Steelers. They don't deserve the playoffs. If they make it great but if they were Super Bowl worthy they would of beat the god damn Rats. I'm still pissy I guess. But the facts are that the coach dropped the ball again when it comes to motivation against lesser teams. Stupid is what stupid does right? It would be stupid of me to think this team has the heart and leadership to make a charge. I hope I'm wrong.

I can't get too wound up at this point. That game yesterday was embarrassing as it gets across the board. If the players on this team don't care enough to show up and beat a decimated team with the season on the line what do they even have for next weekend? I already know the coaching is a lost cause. I'll watch the game, but nothing that happens from here out will surprise me either way.

This is where I'm at too. I'll probably watch, but I might not. Wake me up if something good happens

We have one thing going for us......rex Ryan would love to keep the jets, his former team from going to the playoffs...buffalo has the defense to make it happen....AND the game is in Buffalo. Were not dead yet.

I called this two weeks ago. I said the team is too inconsistent and I doubted we would make the playoffs and predicted we would lose in the first round even if we do make it. I still feel that way. So I am going to watch the game Sunday with no expectations and after the game I'm gonna go hang out with my son.

Counter point is Fitzpatrick would probably like a strong showing at his former home.

In typical Tomlin fashion the Bills will probably beat the Jets and we lose to the Clowns cementing Tomlins reputation as a guy who can't get it done.

Go Steelers go Bills! **** you Tomlin...

This could be Pettine's last game as HC of the Browns so his guys might turn it up a notch. If Mallet (sp?) can look good vs. the anemic Steelers pass rush Manziel and his coaches just might study tape and have their way against the white jersey Steelers.
Manziel didn't do half bad against KC, the Browns did turn the ball over at the worst possible time though.
Sound like a familiar problem?
Depending on help from other teams and playing a last chance game scenario is total BS. Looking back on the 2015 schedule the Steelers shouldn't even be in this situation. Playing "gut feeling" and uninspired football did.

Naturally the Bengals lost to Denver, and will probably lose to Baltimore, and we could have won the division if we just beat a couple of **** teams down the stretch.

Sundays game reminded me of the Steeler Vikings game in London where we failed to show up. People were wondering about jet lag etc.....it was embarrassing.

We started that season 0-4 and finished 8-4, the strong finish gave me hope, I thought Tomlin had lost the team, but they finished strong, unfortunately we lost to a 4-12 and a 5-10-1 Team and that kept us out of the playoffs.

But we finished 8-8 so it was not a losing season. Whoopee.

This year I left that October 1 game against the Rats Soooooo pissed because I felt we kicked when game conditions said run and ran when game conditions said kick.

Then we started clicking and I was hopeful that we were growing, Tomlin had righted the ship against tremendous adversity. What an incredible job by the HC

Then we try a fake FG against Seattle, and repeat the loss against the Ratbirds doing the same damn thing we did in October, running for it when game conditions said kick. A move that our own Charlie Batch said was incredibly arrogant. All because of gut decisions by the HC.

We never learn.

I never learn.

Wouldn't surprise me if we came out and lost to the Clowns. Then again, it wouldn't surprise me if we came out and put up 50 on them and the Jets win in OT to eliminate us. Us winning and the Jets losing will surprise me.

And it comes down to the final game of the season for us! We need help from the Bills but we also need to handle the Browns too! I see us throwing up a 40 burger on Cleveland and getting that needed help from Buffalo. We get in the tournament, barely, but we will be in!!! Got to love the drama of this season.....Go Steelers!!!!

I truly do not give a ****. I have shut down for this season.

This is where I am at.

If any team wants to be a playoff team and cannot beat a very injured 4 win team to cement that playoff berth, then that team has no business in the playoffs, no matter how it happens.

It just really sucks that this inconsistent, disappointing team is the Steelers, including coaches, players, FO and ownership.

(it wouldn't surprise me to see the Steelers hang 50 on the stains, with all Steeler fans wondering WTF happened last week for the entire second half and the offseason)

Really disappointing to need help here. Last week's loss to the rats just wasted one of the better comebacks in recent memory. I have a feeling both teams win, or both teams lose (Jets and Steelers).

A play in game between Jets Steelers would be much more interesting, better than watching the Steelers and praying for help. Shame the NFL can't swap opponents in a situation like this.

Looks like AJ McCaron might be sitting for the Bengals vs. the Ravens... if we just would have beat them, we would have a legit chance at the division. What a damn shame.

Did anyone here honestly believe we would beat both Baltimore and Cleveland on the road given our history vs **** teams? I was assuming we would lose one of these last two before we played the Bengals. Go Bills

Call me a hater... But I've seen this before and this team just lays down. They get paid and have no damn pride. Tomlin does not have them ready to play.

That said they will score 41 points and beat the Browns and the Jets will win late and knock the Steelers out.

Congrats players and coaches you choked away a great opportunity with amazing talent.

As long as Tomlin is here and Rooney is still making money nothing will change.

The team has no leadership and no one to call people out on their ****. Brown is a diva and Bryant is a head case.

I guess we'll get to see the "ultimate motivator" at home against a team he hates. How can the Bill's lose?

I'm of the mindset that they don't deserve to go to the playoffs but I'll watch the game and root like hell for the Bills because I never like to see the Steelers football season come to an end. You never know if it will be your last.

All that being said, when it comes down to miraculous scenarios that had to come true in order for the Steelers to make it into the playoffs I go back to Chuck Noll's last trip to the post season in 1989. They needed:

1) Win final game at Buccaneers
2) Saints Win
3) Giants Win
4) Vikings Win

All that somehow worked out and they went on to snag the last wildcard and win at Houston (the Oilers) on New Years Eve. I remember that game and celebration afterwards like it was yesterday. The following week they came damn close to upsetting the Broncos and lost by one stinking point. I remember driving home that night seriously pissed off. Made last weekends loss equivalent to getting upset at a partly cloudy day.

Here is a great article on that scenario and the 89 Season: http://www.cbssports.com/mcc/blogs/entry/12411205/12853966
