**** **** ****. Anyway, I made the comment to my wife that I was going to look here before bed last night, but the way that game went, everyone most likely already ******* hung themselves and there would be no one to talk to. It was surreal watching that. That being said, some thoughts for the offseason.

1- Randy fuckface needs to go.
2- We need to be able to run, but I don't understand why we can't now. It mind boggling.
3- If the defense can stay healthy, and Ben comes back I think next year we will be much improved.
4- When we were 11-0 I felt damn sure we would at least see the AFC Championship game, and I still think had the found a way to pull that game out last night we'd have gone that far.

Well, here is to lots of football that's as stress free as a walk on the beach for the next few weeks, then back at it.

Same coaches will yield the same results we have seen enough to come to that conclusion.

If Ben retires I blow up the coaching staff. Time for a new approach. Randy gets a pink slip regardless.

I bring in a LT in free agency, resign Bud to a one year contract. Resign Sutton and Hilton and Juju..

Draft a T and C and RB high with BPA in mind. A OLBer for depth.

I think it’s straight forward in my mind. If BB comes back so will MT. I can’t see BB wanting to be with a new coach and potentially a new OC but I could be wrong. If BB hangs them up I say clean house and start a new, it’s time.

I agree with you here Slash on everything. Let me throw a wrinkle in though Slash, if Ben does not decide on retirement then you give him a one year extension to spread out the cap hit a bit, but if he comes back so will Randy. Only because Ben will not want a new coordinator learning a new scheme for what, one season? I think that's the downside if Ben comes back.

I'll add that I release Vance McDonald, Pouncey, Vince Williams. I do not offer contracts to Feiler, Big Al. I agree with Slash on signing Bud, Sutton,Hilton and JuJu.

I agree Steel - Ben and RF come as a pair (unless Ben had a come to Jesus moment and realizes his good buddy sucks ***!)

I'm not sold on the notion we can keep Bud with Watt coming due soon. You will have to back up the Brinks Truck for Watt, and you can't spend 40-50 million/year on outside LBs. The rest, I completely agree with. However, none of it will matter if we keep the HC and the OC, and DC. They keep making the same mistake and never learn from it. Their stubbornness is definition of insanity! There is so much I can say about their inability, but it would read like a Doctorate Thesis!

Time to mock a mock?
I will get into it but initially for me it is hard because I want changes and don't think we will see them. Frustrating knowing Ben is a SB capable player coached by people incapable of bringing him back there. Different for everyone but I want a new head coach. But I always enjoy the draft so probably what I need to get my mind off the trainwreck we just witnessed.

Well gang, I love you guys, even the ones I sometimes disagree with.

Now that the season is over and there's no more football, I likely will be a bit more absent. I might pop in now and then to say hello. But we're pretty much done with the fooseball until next September.

I like your commentary Slash. and you are real world straight up guy for the way you settled our draft bet. but you have to explain to me what a bring back Ben contract would look like. To me it is just stunting the rebuild and taking out yet another mortgage on the house. Irresponsible. Next year's team will not be as good as this years team and they really were not close this year.

Like the rest of their back-loaded contacts. In this case we are looking at one or two years added. What you get with me regarding this subject is a mix of my wants with reality. The reality with my Ben comments is we are stuck probably with the HC. So you eat cap now or later. If Ben wants to return you make it later to field the best team as possible. If he hangs it up you eat it now and then start eating the rebuild. As far as what the exact amount might look like that isn't my expertise. I would yield to our cap guru's on that topic. But know Omar is well capable of crunching the numbers to make something work.

It needs blown up no matter what they do with Ben. Green Bay dumped McCarthy and had back-to-back 13-win seasons with their QB playing at an MVP level this season.

The Steelers will be mediocre next year period. They are not a buttoned up team. There will ways be stooge quality about this team.

I respect your opinion, but unless you honestly believe they could contend for a title next year with a reduced talent team, I just don't know why you would want that.

Randy doesn't have to come back as OC he can go back to QB coach and put Canada at OC. Nice neat problem solved. He was not bad as QB coach.

I'd rather get an OC that has done something in the NFL before, enough of the hiring from within, I know Canada hasn't been here long, but get me an OC that has done something in the league, of course if they hire from within they know Tomlin calls the shots and they are used to that.

I don't remember which thread, but the Steelers can't promote from within. They just can't. They need some outside ideas, guys who want bigger and better jobs, not career coordinators. They need to increase the size of their coaching staff as well. I was reminded today they have the smallest paid staff in the league.

Coaching has been described as a stooge before. Unless hange at the top, nothing will change.

NO, you get him out of the building and city for that matter. His influence is way past and he needs gone I'm not even sure Canada can over come Tomlin's prying.

Probably because I know what we didn't have before BigBen and a part of me doesn't want to rush it along. Ben gives us atleast a chance to sniff the playoffs. Not sure we are going to see that for awhile without him. I see him still capable. Not the Ben of old but still capable. I know some don't and that is ok. I am also not sold on Rooney showing Captain cliche the door any time soon. So I am sure just delaying the inevitable.

Revamp the OL thru the draft or maybe cheap FA pickup. Draft road graders. OL is a position that draft picks can play immediately if coached correctly(big if).

Draft a versatile, athletic(jump cut, tackle breaking capable) RB. Draft a TE, OLB, DL.

Try to sign back Sutton and Juju(maybe).

I still believe Ben can get us #7 if they get him a decent run game.. I don't think that is impossible to do but it needs to happen.

I don't think the door is shut yet even despite Tomlin..
