The Steelers on Monday placed left tackle Kelvin Beachum on injured reserved ending his season after he suffered a torn ACL in his left knee during the second quarter of Sunday's 25-13 win over Arizona.
The Steelers added free-agent lineman Byron Stingily (6-5, 318) to replace Beachum on the roster.
Stingily was the Titans' sixth-round pick in 2011 out of Louisville and started nine games from 2012-14 before being released during the final cut this year.
Alejandro Villanueva will replace Beachum at left tackle Sunday against the Chiefs.

Sounds like Munchak had a say in this one. Welcome aboard

yep.... Munch's pick.
so will Stingly or Hubbard serve as backup?

The more the merrier

Villanueva looked good enough, just keep a TE on his side to help block and hope for the best

• In 2014, Stingily set career highs with 10 games played and five starts. He started four times at right tackle and once as an extra tight end.
• In 2013, he played in five games and for the second consecutive year started at right tackle in the final two games.
• In 2012, he played in five games and notched his first two career starts at right tackle in the final two games.
• As a senior at Louisville in 2010, Stingily earned second team All-Big East honors after starting all 13 games at left tackle. He helped pave the way for the Cardinals to lead the conference in rushing and teammate Bilal Powell to finish 11th in the country in rushing.

Probably want to see Adams in practcie for a few weeks and then decide. Stigily could be here short term or adams never gets off PUP, or whatever he is on.
