Well this is going to shock everyone!
Normally I don't like giving this kind of award to a receiver or a QB because an entire offense has to do a job together for those guys to look good. But in some cases, on some occasions a fellow just "steps up". You might even say he gets "unchained"
Congratulations JuJu, you get the clear nod for the Dan Rooney Week 7 award. On a week where the Lions were keying on Bell and Brown and doing everything they needed to do in order to shut down the Steelers top offensive threats, you showed up and made the difference. We fans were reminded a little too much of the AFCC game where the cheats racked up points and the Steelers were unable to respond. Technically this game wasn't all that different, the Steelers did leave what? 12 points on the field from missed opportunities? Nonetheless, the team kept loading up hay and you were the straw that finally broke that camel's back.
Kudos to the goal line defense for shutting it down inside the 5. NICE!
Kudos to Tomlin for playing the head games with the defense earlier in the week and calling them out about their goal line defense. Who says you never coach those guys? (Oh ya, me...)
Kudos to Todd Haley for continually giving the rest of the league absolute crap film to work with from our offense. Man, those opponents will NEVER know what hit them if / when the Steelers get to the playoffs and you pull out your ACTUAL offense.
Cam! It's like you make that whole defensive line engine run! Keep on chuggin'
Vince! Good Motor. Nice to see you flying around
Ryan Shazier, you and TJ Watt make me feel happy inside. I am desperately hoping you both stay healthy for the rest of the season.
That's right Bos... You beat that goal post like you're Joe Mixon and you saw it at a McDonalds.
Hey Joe Haden... He went that-a-way. <--- I loved that interception though. If Bud had been just a bit faster that might have counted. I'm loving you in the Black and Gold!
And... I'm out.
