I won’t go into a break-down of the game as most have seen the debacle. I can say that we had that game several different times but choose to lose it, coaching does have it’s advantages and we should acquire some soon.

Tie Breaker #3. INPUT BTU size of new boiler
There is a lot to sizing boilers and I happen to be a very good contractor who has a lot of information to back me. I closed my Plumbing / HVAC / Boiler / In Floor heating business about a year ago and retired.
The answer is 50,00 BTU but it is a modulating (small to bigger to small flame as needed). It modulates from about 15,00 btu to full (allowing duration and fuel quality)
For every 1000 ft above sea lever you lose 4% capacity. My altitude is 3200. 3.2 X 4%=12.8%
87.2 % X 50,000 = 43,600 buts
My job requires about 27,000 btu as I did a in floor heating business calculation of the job.
I’ll also use an outdoor reset sensor so as it will calculate water temperature needed based on the out door discrepancy.
A lot of contractors and a few experts fail on the duration of the unit, sometimes to the fail of the job.
My largest In Floor Heat job was 23,000 square ft. It turned out perfect. Only myself and 1 employee installed the entire system (that in itself was amazing). (Steelmann, a crew of 4 poured 80 yards concrete in one day, they had the tools).
