Wednesday practice?

What is the significance of not practicing on wednesday?

Is that the only day of the week that the team does football-drills/practice?

The team practices 3 days a week with a walkthrough the day before gameday.

If we play Sun, we practice WTF. Sat: TWT, Mon: TFS, Thu: MTW (with no walkthrough day).
