We NEED to draft or sign a QB... Convince me that I'm wrong.

Ain't happening so stop asking. Team has no money and is happy with Rudolph for now. He still has pretty good upside. No way are they wasting a 2nd or 3rd round pick on another QB. They won't draft another QB until Ben hangs them up.

I expect they go in to this season with Ben and MR. Duck, Lynch and Barrett fight it out for the 3rd seed.

I would have a sit down with Ben and ask him if this is his last season..... If so, I gotta draft the highest/best QB I can so he can hold a clipboard and learn from Ben this year. If Ben says he will play next year, when we have a 1st rounder again ... we go QB next year.
 
If we get an OL, DL, LB and then a QB happens to be the BPA then I’m fine with drafting one. I personally think Rudolph and Lynch make the team and Duck goes to the PS this year. If Roethlisberger physically is done then we can worry about a QB next year. I mean look at the top 45 QBs last year, 27 were first round picks. Don’t see too many Tom Brady’s out there. It’s best imo to put everything we have in Roethlisberger for 2020 and see if he can go out a champion. If he still has it give him 2021 to.

Any FCS QBs worth a damn? Everyone talks about Tua and Hurts, etc. ..... Ben came from Miami OH. Just wonderin'. Some diamond in the rough out there?
 
has any team shown interest in cam , he doesnt have much leverage, 1 yr 1.7 mill if not winston for straight vet min since he has no market or any interest, the most cam has been linked to is the chargers or fins or a stop gap
mason will have a better understanding of how to read defences as he just played run and shoot at OK ST he know he has a arm he just has to work on polishing those throws in stride and timing routes.
I think if for the reasons arm size and mobility for a big QB that made lynch a rnd 1 pick he will overtake duck, if there is a mini camp let's see if lynch has anything to offer if not then look at bringing a vet in as emergency insurance

If they are spending that pick on this kid he BEST be a #2 QB from day one with potential to step right in for BEN if need be. We have some HIGH needs but have addressed some of them nicely in the FA period.

Yeah they won't go QB in 2. Too many needs. Below that round anything is possible as they need a Duck replacement and Rudolph competition. But Ben isn't any younger. I fully expect them to address WR/Oline/RB/ and Lber depth.

Oh and the X factor in three and below is if a BPA is there they had no idea would fall to them. That could be at almost any position.

I don’t think they want to relive what happened last year, Eason would easily be the #2 has a big arm and hard to take down. He would be cheaper than Any FA QB brought in. I resently heard another Gm said Steelers will draft a QB in the second to groom under Ben since what we have is not the answer.

Another GM besides Colbert? As we know Colbert wouldn't be tipping his hand, and we know another GM would be as reliable as what you and I think. Maybe even less.


Which would also take BPA out of the equation, and we know they will not take BPA out of the equation.

If you where in Vegas I would recommend you not putting a bet on it..........Unless you were betting against it....

I'm just curious if you remember who this other GM was? NOT calling you out as I hear stuff too and can't remember who from.

I highly doubt rnd 2 is a QB. I don't know much about the EASON kid but if they did take him he would have to be of caliber to take the team upon BEN's injury or retirement. He canNOT be a project and must be ready to play. It's hard to think he would be available at our spot in the 2nd have he be as good as we need.

Well because Winston is not going to sign a super cap friendly two year deal. The Steelers situation with a health shaky aged QB would be an inviting opportunity, but (If there is a season which seems very doubtful), he will be a free agent at the end of the year anyhow.
 
then Winston can sit on his *** and collect nothing as he has 0 interest teams know his high turnover ratio, he needs a HC and a top flight qb to learn from or he will be bouncing from team to team in his career. offer 2 year vet min with incentives and performance i,e this year if he wins back up job certain amt bonus and year 2 if he plays in any games. The the way things are looking it looks like the teams that could be interested in cam, winston will all wait till after the draft, that eithier will drive down the value or say the chargers or fins dont get the qb they want they will likely give cam a big 2 year say 10-15 mill deal.
 
I did see an SI mock with us taking Eason but he sounds pretty similar to Rudolph.
