Bud Dupree is expected back next week. Hopefully, he'll be the missing ingredient to this much maligned D. With him adding more QB pressure and offense ironing out ****, we could make a strong push in the 2nd half of the season. Thank God our division sucks this season.
I think so too. They played with urgency but Mikey let them down.
this D needs more than what Dupree can offer.

At this point, I'd like to see what Justin Gilbert can do in the secondary. Yeah, he was the Stains' 1st rounder but we were ALSO targeting him as our first pick that year. Looking for that unexpected diamond in the rough....
wont fix the leaky run D or pass rush. But sure throw him in the mix. The season is close to being a lost cause anyways.

That just made me sad... never see a defense like those guys again.
It was a blast watching those guys. Polamalu was the craziest athlete to watch ever. Aaron Smith, James Farrior and Ryan Clark all underrated. A young James Harrison, Woodley when he was stronger and faster, Joey Porter. Deshea. Aww man. Memories lol
I think if the Steelers can get that dominant NT. the front 7 would look a lot better

I wish we could get McCullers to play up to his potential instead of being mediocre. The ****** has all the traits of John Henderson, yet the intensity and aggression of Florence Henderson.

We keep drafting snowflakes and athletic china dolls. And the scheme of playing 10 yards off your guy while they gash us over the middle time and again is beyond nerve wracking. We may as well send the house every down rather than death by 1000 paper cuts. Oh well it is what it is. And it is just terrible football to watch.

Agreed. I know we have a young group, but these jokers look fundamentally poor in multiple areas, and lacking in overall strength.

Just watched end of shithawks vs cheatreoits and 6-4 230 cam chancellor locked up 6-6 265 drunkcowski and game is over... he also kept Blount out of the end zone. we would have had a 5-10 190 lb safety on them. Zoowpie t fukn dooo!! At the end of the Dallas game we couldnt bring down the te at end in that game either. We need to wake up and meet the challenge of the game as its being played today. You don't have the time to blitz outside linebackers you have to get a punch up the middle with very quick inside tackles and containment and rush with strong ends that get one on one blocking... not with a fat *** nose tackle and slow outside linebackers. You can't play a light in the pants inside linebacker like shazier he gets buried or hurt or both when lineman can get on him and pancake his ***. Its time for a Paradyme shift in WPA. Bring back the curtain!!!
I agree Ron. However, in the end it comes down to stats. And while in Games like the Ravens they didn't give up.big points and yards the sacks and turnovers are woeful. Good teams can dial up pressure on demand. Pressure equals turnovers. This team cannot produce either. They needed a sack to win this game. They just can't get any real pressure without fully exposing the weak secondary. They just have no premium pass rushers despite the fact that they have spent a great deal of premium picks.
