We need Bell, and everyone know it...

I 100% agree that without Bell, this team is going nowhere. The key point of the thread was Time Of Possession. Bell's skills help keep our **** D off the field and takes pressure off Ben. Now, the pressure is fully on Ben and he can't handle it.

Well plenty of us do want him.

It is very easy to believe that we would be 2-2, and probably 3-1, if Bell were on the team.

Yes because Bell was so ******* great the first 4 weeks last year. BTW, they had a poll on The Fan this morning and 87% of those surveyed do not want Bell back in a Steelers uniform, guess that makes you in the minority.

Bell doesn't play defense. Isn't even close to worth what he wants. I would have given Mack that kind of.money to join our defense before I'd pay for another offensive guy.

They do not need Bell. They need defense, new coaches and a rebirth of what steeler football used to be.

So if they gave him a $15 million signing bonus, he'd play for 10 million a year?

No. He want's a higher signing bonus AND he wants guaranteed money each year AND he want 17 million because he catches balls for about 5 yards out of the backfield. Indeed, he's nearly as good out of the backfield as that rookie RB McCaffrey. I suspect the Chargers will pay HIM 19 million next year.

That was my fantasy. Drop Bell and use the money to try to attract Mack.

We could be 3-1 if Ben played well in games 1 and 4. The truth is Ben got the OC he wanted in Fitchner, which meant the running game was
going to take a back seat no matter who the running back was.

Bullshit, kind of hard to have a running game when your starting RB has 19 yards on 11 carries and you start the game down 14-0. They tried running in the second half by opening up with a run-run-pass series out of the I-Formation. Our offense is so predictable just off of the personnel and formation it is not even funny. When kids can call out the play before the snap just think what opposing defensive players and DC's have to think about it.

with Bell, we've never lost a game.

Its predictable b/c we are in shotgun, without a FB, like 90% of the time.

We are in shotgun like 90% of the time because that's what Ben prefers.

An unfortunately, we dont have an OC to tell him any better. This Randy guy is essentially a puppet.

Bell has now thrown 3.4 million in the trash can after 4 games. He breaks 4.2 million after this weeks no show. His next contract will have to make up for this loss above what the Steelers had offered him overall for the multi year deal. That's highly doubtful at this point.

I 100% agree that WE TAIN"T GETTING bell FOR THE REST OF THE YEAR OR EVEN SHORT TERM WHERE HE WOULD ACTUALLY CONTRIBUTE. his ship has sailed and the regurgitation of said player is nauseating.

It’s not like us “mouth breathers” didn’t want him. It’s the fact he wanted more money than we could afford. He made his choice. I’m sure we will see him week 10 with 8.5 million in cap space for next year. At that point if I’m the Steelers I put him through the ringer to make sure he’s in playing shape. If not I’d put him on the nfl non-injury list or if he’s not rescind the tag. Which I’m not sure if we’d receive compensation or not but at this point who cares.

Bell is not bigger than the team and though Conner is not Bell I don’t see a huge drop in skills.

We already have a team full of themselves and what Bell has done you now want him out there, no way.

Some of these remarks are ridiculous. He is a special player. Unless he creates lockeroom turmoil, the team is better with him. They were prepared to pay him all year long anyway. They won’t spend his money on a defensive guy now anyway. That ship sailed when they tagged him. Unless they can trade him to get value, the only value here is to use him for his talents while we can. He does make teams gameplan for him. He has single handedly won us games before. He makes other weapons better too when he’s on the field. Some of you would cut you own nose off to spite your face. The Eagles gave up 500 yards but won the super bowl. We can win some games and have a good season with a potent offense and any improvement in our D.

Not sure what Me'Veon would bring. One more than one occasion last night Conner was greeted by multiple Rats almost as the ball was placed in his arms.

The day he comes back he’s our 3rd best WR.

Maybe if we have Bell we aren't down 14 zip because a different set of plays is called on the first drive and McDonald doesn't turn the ball over on the 31, which is the main reason the Steelers were down 14 zip.

So you are saying thatBELL is so good that EIO McDonald would never have fumbled had BELL been playing...........WTF???? Oh and BELL chose NOT to be here, it wasn't the STEELERS who said goodbye.

I'd give up Cam and Vince Williams paychecks in a heartbeat to get Bell back!

Face it, without Bell the offense is castrated, defenses ignore the run and flood the secondary to stop AB and the WR's. Ben had nowhere to throw but the TE's, this is not a dink & dunk team.

No more 8 in the box means no more open passing lanes, anyone could see that that wasn't blind

Their hate for Bell is getting in the way of reality.

I despise the kid for his selfish acts - but as you've stated - NO TEAM is scared of our offense without him. Not even the lowly Browns...

Nuff said. Amen...

We have a 1,200 yard rusher on our team with speed and we never play him, Ridley. **** the fat Bell, he will never play another down for the Steelers .
