... Even opposing defenses.

We are losing the T.O.P. game miserably, and exposing our mediocre D as a result. Not to mention we are relying on Ben to throw the ball 60x.

All you mouth-breathing fans wanted to chase him out because he wanted to get paid- pretending as if Connor was going to replicate his impact.

The Steeler brass needs to swallow the 'L and pay the man so we can get the season back on track//

Bell is not the missing link. We never run well vs Balt..Chiefs we were done big so we couldn't even attempt to run. Today Ben couldn't hit receivers and our game plan in the second half was atrocious.

I partially agree with you. Bell wasnt the ONLY missing link.

Ben was really off in the second half. And I dont care about what you say about coaching- you cant create a successful scheme when your QB is throwing BEHIND his receivers.

But that is when Bell is even more critical to our offenes. How many games have we've seen where Bell had to carry the offense when Ben was off? Without Bell, we basically were praying that Ben would finally wake up, which unfortunately never occurred.

**** Bell, never liked him or his soft running style. We don't even try to run the ball anymore.

**** Bell, and **** Tomlin. For that matter, **** Rooney. This shitshow really is his fault.

Harsh but I was thinking maybe a jet ski..................

WHOEVER thinks one player will walk in here and totally change the dianamics of this team are higher than BELL was through out this whole ordeal. ONE can see coaching / scheme / some players (plural).

Salute the nation

In the first half we were destroying the Rats with play action so obvious that even Collinsworth was talking about it. In the 2nd half, ZERO play action passes, Tomlin did his adjustments at half time and for the 2nd straight week we got shut out in the 2nd half.

We were down 14 zip what the *** difference would have bell made??? None......

Maybe if we have Bell we aren't down 14 zip because a different set of plays is called on the first drive and McDonald doesn't turn the ball over on the 31, which is the main reason the Steelers were down 14 zip.

And maybe if your aunt had balls she'd be your uncle.

Again. Please tell me which offensive linemen you give up in order to pay Bell his 17 million plus his signing bonus? Cause I'm interested.

Ben had 50 yards passing and the ball for 8 minutes in the second half. How would Bell really made a difference? We can't get off the field on defense. That $14.5M can get some bodies on defense to fill the gaping holes we have everywhere. That $14.5M could go towards a decent vet RB, too.

I'd give up Cam and Vince Williams paychecks in a heartbeat to get Bell back!

Face it, without Bell the offense is castrated, defenses ignore the run and flood the secondary to stop AB and the WR's. Ben had nowhere to throw but the TE's, this is not a dink & dunk team.

No more 8 in the box means no more open passing lanes, anyone could see that that wasn't blind

Maybe I haven't been keeping up on current events but BELL DOESN'T WANT TO PLAY FOR US. Whether Conner could replace him or not, Bell is not coming back except for a few games at the end of the season to get his year in. By then, this season will have been decided one way or another. Even if we did get him back now we'd be getting on overweight slob who would take 4 weeks to get on track and our defense isn't playing well enough to take up the slack.

Not sure what Me'Veon would bring. One more than one occasion last night Conner was greeted by multiple Rats almost as the ball was placed in his arms.

I have read nothing that would suggest that he doesnt want to play for the Steelers. He just doesnt want to play without a certain amount guaranteed (i.e. not the franchise tag).

The Steelers brass gambled that their low-ball offer would remain market, and lost when Gurley and DJ signed for much higher gtd. contracts.

The fans lost when we (at least some of you) thought they could ostracize an all-pro player and replace him with a someone who is average at best.

No to mention ball control.

Ball control is the reason why we always seem to lose our leads in the 2 half (e.g. Browns, Bucs).
