We're worse. Offense scores 3 points. Defense non-existent. The Pats may cheat but they didn't need to last night. As far as I'm concerned, the season is over right now since no one will be held accountable and nothing will change. I recorded the game since I can't stay up that late but now I'll just delete it without watching. Oh, BTW, Tomlin stinks.

For the few of us on here that aren't ignorant, or homers, The Steelers are what they are on paper.
Bargain basement B steamers.
You get what you pay for in this league.
Now the Steelers will pay for what they didn't want to pay for.
And then some.
1 field goal?
Brown and Bell getting the last laugh.

Just retire Ben, the front office butchered this team beyond recognition

No playmakers on either offense or defense now, perfect

We need a #1 WR who can get open, total lack of playmakers, offense doesnt scare anybody, teams dont even need to double team anyone, they can all send their DBs to stuff the run with no passing offense

5 wide is worthless when only 1 of them can catch the ball, lol, they even ****** that up

a severe cleansing is needed. The dead money is crippling. There's not one coach on this team that I feel good about. We lost our only gem to Denver.

If we beat SEA, I'm sure all will be forgotten by some, but damn, that was an embarrassing showing on national TV.

No, the schedule will soften up. It’s worse than sucking, because changes won’t come. They are mired in mediocrity.

There is Ben once more stepping up and all blame on him and gets bomb barded on the comment in football rumors and then Tomlin says we were not ready for prime time, not him being the problem. I see Ben's face and feel he was all energized yet we do not have the team to accomplish this. Difference between the two teams last night was watching high school team playing Alabama

I be rooting for Bell against the Pats next week, hey Jets might even make a game of it, lol

The Jets at least realize they have to come in to the game with a game-plan. That in itself is an advantage for them.

The first 8 games of the season the P*ts have no team on the schedule who made the playoffs.

And on paper, the Steelers may have been the toughest of all of them.

The cheats are going to have homefield wrapped up by the end of October.

Conner, 10 carries for 21 yds

With no passing threat defenses can crowd the LOS now too

Yeah, I get that, but the 2005-2005 Steelers would run the ball down your throat no matter how ******* many defenders were playing the run.

And here's an idea somebody may wish to share with the cute-sayings-that-mean-**** machine: If you go 3 or 4 WR, and have Conner in the backfield, he may find running room. You know, like every other ******* team in the NFL does.

I thought the team would be better on offense and struggle again on defense. Ben just needs more time to get accustom to the WRs and his WRs need to stop dropping the ball. The defense is exactly what I thought it would be. They will feast on some teams that don't have a decent QB. They'll still win around 10 games. They can't play any worse and they don't see Brady again so there is that.

Fast Willie was a special back, led the nfl in rushing in 2007 until Tomlin ran his wheels off.. James Conner is a poor mans Mark Ingram, good burst, no vision, average speed, no shiftiness.
Nobody is scared of James Conner

denial at the highest levels has us in this position. a team pretty much loaded up on high draft picks that is completely underachieving has to fall on the coaches. the fact they didn't make the playoffs last year should have meant for some meaningful changes on the coaching staff. oh and we got them..... our best coach left. butler should have been fired hands down. the schemes are too complex to be carried out by the players. since he's taking over, players constantly are out of position, but not only that, his schemes not only get players out of position they put the players out of position on purpose! des playing tackle, safetys playing linebacker, linebackers playing db. we can't play New England without the receivers running around wide open because there is confusion in the secondary. he has players like Dupree tiring to cover Edelman and johnson tiring to cover gordon. its beyond pathetic its beyond embarrassing just as it was last year and the year before that and the year before that. man yesterday was beyond anything I've seen from a steeler team. it was just crushing. butler should step down if he had any love of the steelers and the players he would step down immediately. and so should Rooney jr. time for a new Rooney! hell Rooney Mara would be better than jr! goooo steelersssss

Ben Will clearly retire after this season, no way a HOF QB at that age would endure one more season of such horrible coaching. I didn't ask for a win, I just asked for good preparation and execution, if that wasn't enough well that's ok, they tried their best. But yesterday? They didn't even try and I blame the ******* coaches:
- how in the hell are our slowest LBs covering WRs, AGAIN!!!???

- 2 DL front? **** you Tomlin , **** you Butler, that's all I can say about it.

- moncrief did nothing to secure that 2nd WR spot in the off-season, at least Washington shows good hands and fights for the ball.

- creativity on Offense was abysmal, no TE presence, no safety valve for Ben. Some of this falls in a pretty ****** work by the Oline, never did Ben have time in the first half to plant his feet and throw where he wanted.

- Defensive backs play, it made my stomach turn. Communication mistakes, missed assignments, etc. Wide open receivers all over the field. How hard it is to play man and stay on your guy? I wasn't asking for an int, just to not be 5 yards Behind every single play

I've said it before, and say it again: The only players who are still confused by our defense are the defenders. Opposing QB's have figured this **** out.

his schemes not only get players out of position they put the players out of position on purpose! DE's playing tackle, safeties playing linebacker, linebackers playing db.

He just might after this season, or pull an Andrew luck if he gets hurt.

Last year's epic collapse took it out of this team, and we cannot blame this crap on the kicker or a back up linebacker.

I do think the Steelers will be .500 or better this year. While the coaching sucks, we sill have more talent than most.

They failed miserably with Bell&Brown. They won super bowls with Hines Ward,Santonio Holmes and Willie Parker.

And a nasty defense.

No diva's and no bullshit.

Ben won’t retire this season or after this season barring any major injury. Ben’s a gamer, a super competitor and will not go down as a QB in defeat. No, we’re not going to the SB anytime soon with this buffoon of a coach, but Ben will take this as a challenge to make this offense better. He’ll take this head on and build a stronger rapport with Washington and D. Johnson and get Vance more involved. He may even be able to squeeze some life from Moncrief although this guy ******* stinks. Don’t worry about Ben. Just hope he stays healthy.

To be fair, Joey Porter was always a bit of a Diva...

Nothing new. The talent we do have is forced to mold into a particular scheme rather than the scheme designed to work with the skills they do have. Round peg/Square hole issue.

Then you have the fact that the players they do have do not seem to progress, so that seems like a player development problem.

This has been going on for some time and we all can see it. I'd put more blame on the front office than the coaching staff. They are the ones who are allowing the mediocrity to continue unabated.

Ben was the only player that had the pissed off look, only one to step up and take reasonability for the game. What we were optimistic in preseason stayed on the sidelines.

They are who I thought they were. You can’t lose 2 elite offensive players and expect things will be all good.
