Surprised no comments on Watts outburst to one of the coaches giving the defense what for. The defense was awful and the TV has a shot of one of the coaches getting into the defense and there is Watt standing up and yelling at the coach. That is a first to see any reaction on our sidelines in any game shown on the camera. Watt and the defense looked in the first half as if they did nothing but read press clippings during the week, they deserved an *** chewing. Watt should of taken what was deserved.

it has been mentioned in one of the threads.

depends on what the coach said, maybe he was wrong about something.

If you don't think there is yelling and screaming at players and coaches in a football game then you've never played the game on any level. This type of thing happens all the time......at the end of the day....cooler heads prevail. It's nothing more than a sideline dispute. It was with Keith Butler...BTW. Don't make more of this than what it was.

Butler sucks... has the best defense in the league talent wise, a scheme he inherited from hof coach, or coaches, I should say, and he figures out a way to fukn it up. First touchdown our slowest linebacker is in iso with a wide receiver... same~o butler.

just an aside, One of the Niners players was on Movin' the Chains on NFL radio this week. He was asked about the lack of fans in stadiums this year and he said after they scored the week before, they could hear the coaches on the other team cussing out the players. It happens.

tee hee

Butler doesn't suck. We have a top 5 defense. Looked to me like ( pure speculation),. That watt was asked to do multiple things on defense, and took offense to what dick was throwing out there.
Also, not thread on what Romo was talking about regarding harbaugh and that last play of the game.

that is not all on Butler, Teams will scheme to get that...hell the Steelers did it the game Claypool got 4 TDs, his last one he was covered (poorly) by a LB

The D seemed overwhelmed to me BUT they came up with some huge turnovers. And did their part to win against an always very competitive opponent. It is possible they learned a lot today once they review film.

Definitely a team win.Turkey day game should be interesting.

And that penalty that lead to the Rats eventually getting their first score.... total bullshit.

All I know is I scared my doggies quite a bit watching this game unfold. Got way too vocal.lol.

I predicted 7-0.
I still have consternation as to what happens after the election as far as the season continuing.
Hey, but that is just me.

I finally broke down and watched a game this season....I mean, its the Ravens afterall

The coaching staff actually made adjustments, it was a sight to see. They inserted Highsnith on the weak side and moved Dupree over to combine with Watt on the strong side. When they decided to test the weak side on that pass, Highsmith made them pay dearly. Great chess match.

I respectfully disagree. Just 'who' did he inherit from Coach LeBeau??? This D has been rebuilt, good sir...

Yes, I saw far too many WR on LB's yesterday and one play equated to a TD; but, in the grand scheme of things - the overall plan worked. What did you expect from them when they had to defend the top RPO and running attack in the league. We cannot expect total shutdowns every game. The defense caused havoc, when needed, and created several apple turnovers.

And...

We're 7-0.

He said he inherited the scheme, not players. And to that point, I don't think this is the same scheme DLB used.

Oh...

Well, I still disagree w/ that - and agree w/ you. This defense is very different from what we say w/ Coach LeBeau...

Every once in a while I'll see a LeBeau "zone blitz" but the overall scheme is way different now. In fact Lebeau wouldn't use 'cover-2' as much as Butler-Tomlin do and the corner blitz is now in vogue. Not much left of the old LeBeau system and for the better imo.......teams were used to it and had dialed in their answers.

glad they made the deal for every last night for avery.
using this 2-4-5 or at times 4-2-5 with Avery will help as when they have 3 big DL and watt at DE( he is on aother level yesterday he was constantly hitting lamar and forcing him to throw it away fast).
now I would be more comfortable avery dropping back and vince blitzing and despite Spilliane fill performance to keep us asa top run D yesterday showed his sideline to to sideline speed is not good nother as we got gauged on those outside counters and quick tosses by JB.
I really hope Tyson is fine as has been playing in the middle almost as good as Casey.
Buggs after a slow start played great, Tuitt was just on another level.
I hope to see Buggs spell Heyward more as with Heyward age he is too valuable to GOD forbid lose on this quest for a ring.

from how Dupree played we have to find a way to keep him, I know some will not like this but keeping juju gets Chase those 1-1 or leaves juju 1-1.
Looking at our cap we have gotten the most mileage out of Decastro he carries a high cap hit and we have seen Dotson play superbly in 2 starts, perhaps cutting Decastro, extending ben 2 years and Pouncey 2 years buys us some cap room to offer juju a decent contract hometown discount and ask tj to take a little less than the mkt value of garrett and bosa deals, instead add performance bonus like each other 10 + sacks a certain amount for every FF fumble recoevered structure a deal that allows us to offer bud a respectable deal as he has blossomed in this scheme in the past 2 years and he knows the guys who left the grass is not greener outside the steelers org (bell, AB)
I kmow this is think ahead to far but if we cant keep bud best is sign JJ 1-2 years until highsmith is ready.

and why has there been no effort to to throw some quick slants or bubble screens to Washington

This defense is stacked top to bottom any weakness it has is butler’s “look at me I’m a mad genius” coaching which instead of putting players in position to make plays he puts them in position to not make plays. Always has always will. **** birds gutted us on the ground yesterday credit this defense they got off the blocks when they mattered and made some incredible plays on forth down. But going down the road you can’t give up huge 3rd and forever plays, a butler trait, and win super bowls.

Shhhhh, we are saving that for the playoffs.

save-it-for-later

Whatever they said got taken care of because the defense stepped up and won this game.

Ordinarily someone calling for a bubble screen would get negative karma. We will pretend we didn't see this post.
