Watt gets paid

I'm assuming (per their norm) the extension is on top of his current remaining one year on his contract, so he will be here for 4 years, putting him around 34/35 when this extension ends.

For 41 mill I'm gonna need 20 sacks, his usual couple of game ending strip sack fumble TD's, I need that high leg kick &

I NEED FOR THE STOOPID DEFENSIVE CO-ORDINATOR TO MOVE HIM AROUND SO THEY STOP DOUBLING HIM..

I don't think the schedule has anything to do with the players wearing down. 🤔
If you have the right scheme, X and O ability and talent I think they won’t wear down. Wearing down comes from trying too hard with a deficiency in one, two, or all three areas.

Arguably the Steelers met the criteria for all three.

Big Beautiful Post.

Have fun looking for someone to fight with on the internet. Lame.

Appears you’re available………

a decent deal for both sides. Watt gets to be the highest paid non QB and top Garrett.

The Steelers get a possible exit ramp if his play declines before he hits his mid 30s and before they need to pay the QB they hopefully draft next year his 2nd contract

I wonder if this was Watt capitulating since it’s only 3 years instead of something like 5 years

I think it will coincide with his retirement. He’s very smart, got the big payday and only has to work a short time more.

Just a thought.

Let's zoom in your complaint about Coach Tomlin (again)...

"...if they are all worn down in January that's on Tomlin..."

Raise your hand if you know the answer.

How many coaches are responsible for creating the schedule that their team plays each year???

Whilst we wait on a response - there was uproar (here) when the schedule was released last year about the gauntlet of 3 games down the final stretch in the December time frame. Remember that??? Compound that with George being sidelined due to injury and Russell playing like Neil O'Donnell - welp, we know what happened.

Back to the question. You play who's on your schedule and roster when available. Period the end. How about pointing a finger at Ol' Rog and the schedulers???
The time of possession deficit, especially in first halves, started way before that 4 game end of the year stretch and was an all season problem, just like it was under Canada. Who is the constant, we all know the answer.

It stems from not being able to even get first downs and possess the ball in the first halves of games, that’s on Tomlin as the head coach. Then there is the bend don’t break philosophy on defense and inability to stop the run, especially on 3rd down, leaving the defense out there too much game after game-again on the head coach, it absolutely has a cumulative effect and will be an even bigger problem this year with all the best players on defense are 30 or older: Ramsey, Watt, Heyward, Slay…unless Tomlin changes his stubborn conservative approach, or at least coaches up his line full of 1st round talent to run block and be able to move the chains on 3rd and short

Blaming Rog for giving poor coach Tomlin too tough of a late season schedule is pathetic and a loser mentality. Champions find solutions and losers find excuses
