He had a good game. 2 sacks 3 hurries and three tackles in the first half. I like how he finished plays until the whistle. Surprised he doesn't have his own thread yet. Y'all are slipping.

I like his hustle, and I think those sacks won't come quite as easy as those two. But I think we are looking at a keeper.

He kept up effort all game we need someone like this. Moates did well for himself as well

How many Watts of power does it take to get a sack?

I noticed his ability and how he uses his hands to keep O-linemen from locking onto him. Very impressive in his first outing! I'm excited to watch TJ develop into a Superstar!

War Daddy. The sacks are whatever. You can see he has the instincts and the close. He got fooled on one play action boot. He got a sack on one. He had a pass defense and a hurry where Geno threw the ball away and got hit. He dropped into coverage several times and the qb checked away from his zone. I believe he will easily be the Steal of the draft. Boooooom.

Was I the only one yelling at Tomlin to get Watt the hell out of the game in the 4th quarter? Making me nervous, good grief.

We are short at OLB no one else to play. Good reps

He may push Deebo for more of a 50-50 split this year. I originally thought about 30% of the snaps but if he keeps that up throughout the preseason, you just can't keep him off the field. Heck, we might even see Bud, Deebo and Watt on the field at the same time. You never know.

All hype. If his name wasn't Watt, he would be pushing to make the practice squad. Supe could have made those sacks.

btw, if he keeps up this play, I see a #90 jersey on the horizon. Hate to get too giddy over a rookie, but he looks special.

I know you are joking but I was thinking this way myself leading up to the draft, but I was very impressed yesterday. I too am getting hyped for him and the D and the team as a whole. He looked every bit like the hard working, instinctive player we were advertised

He'll improve. One preseason game down. Once the jitters disappear, he'll be a playmaker

While Watt certainly looked great, not going to get too excited about him doing it against 2nd and 3rd stringers. The good news is he certainly looked much better than Jarvis Jones. I do believe Watt will be a great player, but not ready to put him into the HOF yet.

Went back and read all of the posts, no one put him in the Hall of Fame.

TJ and Moates were the ones making all the plays on D.

Did Chickillo even play? I don't know what anyone sees in this scrub, cut him.

it's one game, for sure, but I am more optimistic on this pick than a few of our recent #1s. Everything we have been hearing about him in camp sees to be true. Fast learner and good instincts. So far, so good!

His sacks were on the 1st 2 drives. Wasn't that against their starting LT?

I thought he'd have more in the latter part of the game.
