It's an average NFL salary, I think I would have offered him that much if I were the Steelers. Another void in a position of need - this years Jerico Cotchery. Let's hope they overcome it in a similar way.

I'm not disappointed in losing McCain since I think we can do better at depth than him. He was terrible in Houston and wasn't all that great with us. No real loss imo.
 
mccain signed a 2 year $5.5 deal with Miami....that's pretty cheap

He played better than Cortez and signed a friendly contraxt. and was on record saying he liked it with the Steelers. Until I see a obvious upgrade that was a fail.
