Video – AB Finally Shares His Side of the Story

Haha yeah really, and the national guys are taking his side non stop

Of course they are...Wouldn't expect anything else from them. I'm absolutely positive they will continue to vilify the Steelers organization and #7 for their inhumane treatment of poor, pitiful, misunderstood Antonio.

Todays report on rumor mill is the epidemy of the NFL self entitled self important players that are destroying the game. His mouth continues to show his true character and for the best of me I cannot see any team wanting this piece of crap. His words are an insult to the players busting their butts to play. The Steelers stroked him way to long and his disrespect is disgusting.

He is mentally unsound. I am beginning to wonder if the Steelers and Tomlin actually deserve credit for keeping him held together for the most part for 9 years. They did what they felt they had to do to try to make runs with his talent, and it finally just blew up. 9 years with him may be a miracle.

I blame Vontaze Burfict, I think that shot he gave THE CHEST to his head accidentally transferred some of Burfict's stupidity and craziness into Brown. If there was any question before, there isn't now, AB is nuttier that a squirel's treehouse.

What worries me most is that Brown keeps running his mouth to the point that no team wants to put up with his **** and the Steelers end up stuck with him.

The problem with not trading him is that the Steelers cannot just tell him to stay home and away from the team all season without just cause.

He's under contract and if he's healthy and willing to play, I believe the Steelers would have to at least keep him on the expanded roster.

I do not think even he is not dumb enough to walk away from the money he is set to make.

It is fine if he plays. He is a talent....but....

He thinks he controls his future, but the Steelers hold his cards. They might have not handled him right early but have the opportunity to handle him right this time. A first or he goes nowhere would be my conditions. And if he went nowhere I would bring him in and outline the possibilities moving forward to suspensions and fines.

Brown is dumber than I had thought. He better be damn careful biting the hand that feeds him. He’ll be long gone and forgotten but the billionaire boys club of NFL owners will still be here.
I wish this guy would just stfu and let the Steelers move his ***.
I feel bad for Ben who has remained quiet throughout all of this as Brown and his bros have continued to dump on him.

Hhhmmmmm................................isn't that part of what leadership does.... I think BEN has been nothing but honorable and a leader through out this process of the Big Checks fiasco. BEN could have spouted off or proved a point but he is doing EXACTLY what a leader does. I'll bet he has made contact with many of the TEAM players along the way and has a pretty good handle on things. I bet the team is in a better place of mind and readiness to participate than in the past and partly due to BEN;s leadership through out big titties crap.

We thought it was bad before but apparently AB'S interviews this weekend have tanked his value even further. If it's not a 1 or an early 2 with at least another 3 thrown in there, they damn well better not pull the trigger.

I doubt that interview hurt him, teams already know he is a media *****. We will see shortly what will be offered. I still think a 1 can be had.

Yeah and several beat writers that cover the team have said Ben has protected AB alot after AB has run wrong routes, Ben never called him out for it. Charlie Batch, who would absolutely know, said he's seen AB run routes that are not part of the play. It's funny how none of the national people talk about that stufg

He completely pointed the blame at everyone but himself. Dude is crazy or on drugs. He quit on the team and left the team. That is 100% on him. Him missing meetings and being late for meetings is 100% on him. Him having a rental house for camp is 90% on him. I'll throw 10% to Tomlin for allowing it but it is still AB's actions and his consequences to those actions. Dude seriously has taken too many shots to the head or is on drugs.

I have a suspicion he very well might end up right back here this year. He is tanking his value and as he said he doesn't need football. If we don't get value I let him test that theory and decide if he wants to play for us or retire. He has no real other option. He is not getting to play by his rules like he thinks.

I passively listened to the interview and never heard him tell the truth... The interview could have been over after three words: "I'm on drugs."

Not about a guy who sure forgets that the Steelers gave him a chance, then they gave him everything he wanted, so disrespectable to the Steelers for what he has in life.

A man wanting a new contract isn't going to retire.

Thing is you have to believe that ownership knew this also and signed off on it. Crazy

"Steelers won't pay Antonio Brown's $2.5 million roster bonus"

ProFootballTalk.com has obtained a copy of the contract that Brown signed last March. The contract specifies that Brown's $2.5 million roster bonus will be paid out in 17 weekly installments throughout the 2019 season, equaling out to to $147,058.82 per week throughout the season.

Payment 1 is due WEEK 1 of the 2019 season.

This is awesome, if true. **** you AB.

I understand that as said, it pays the 2,5mil out over the course of the season but is still a roster bonus. My question is it guaranteed if he makes roster or is it a week by week roster guarantee??? If its a roster guarantee and he is on the roster...... and it says he can be paid out weekly,...... then he will get the money just over the 17week season. STILL HAVE TO PAY IT

It’s a bonus that he is contractually entitled to. However, per the article the payment of the 2.5 roster bonus is in 17 installments during the 2019 regular season. That’s good. What isn’t good is if Pitt doesn’t trade him before the 3/17 deadline, the 2.5 is counted with the 21 mil bonus money this year. If he’s traded before, it counts to the new team.

KC/Omar asked Rosenhaus if they could waive the bonus so as to placate more offers. Brown said no.

Now before many here go off the deep end, think about this. In no way am I defending Big titties for his past / selfish actions. I am however NOT mad at him for not waiving the bonus. I don't like it but how many here would give up their bonus at work??????? NOT very many. He would get it weather a STEELERS or a traded to team to be announced............so he needs to keep his trap shut and let the STEELERS do their trade magic. The STEELERS signed this contract and I realize it is salt in the wound but it's his choice to wave or not.....................

Heard there are 3 teams going pretty hard after him in a trade: Raiders, Broncos & Cardinals. It was Rapoport, but he said they've garnered enough interest to trade him before his March 17th roster bonus deadline.

Take that with a grain of salt and a pound of hope.

I agree 100%. If AB truly wanted traded it would help with the trade of course. I actually think AB is in the mindset that the Steelers will release him. In the end it all will come to a head and we will see if the the Steelers blink and take less than true value for AB just to move him off the team or will they actually keep him for the season of no true offer is given.

That is why I hope they pull the trigger on the first first round offer. Let's cut that cancer off and throw it in the trash.
