Well, he can run 1 more route than Coates!

Patriots released WR Nate Washington
.

Washington was buried on the depth chart in New England and didn't even make it to final cuts. The 33-year-old (on Sunday) had some big games for the Texans last season on his way to a 48-661-4 line, but wasn't brought back and settled for a minimum deal with the Patriots

Yep. I never wanted that for him. Titties and Texans was kinda like aww poor baby, but *'s. Thats just ugh.

I'm only here to comment about chocolate cake. I see that's already been done. There truly is no reason for me to be here

The pride of Tiffin. He was an UDFA find the front office can hang their hat on. Almost 7k receiving yards, 458 grabs and 44 end zone dances is not a bad career. Who knows maybe a team picks him up after an injury.

I remember actual criticism of him here was that he would sometimes catch the ball with a little jump. I **** you not.

Criticism on this message board... never.

He was never a #1 receiver but I think he was an above average #3 and good enough to be your #2. A college with five thousand people usually don't produce many if any quality NFL players so the front office must have seen something in him and he took the most of his opportunity. I thought he was an above average deep threat myself he seemed to have a good double move and could get open.

they're also cutting their starting center.

odd.

NE Patriots To Cut Starting Center Bryan Stork
By Mike Poulin August 24, 2016 10:54 AM

In what comes as a somewhat surprising move, the New England Patriots will cut starting center Bryan Stork at some point today.

The move comes after the former 4th round pick has started 17 games over the last two years.

As the Boston Herald noted a week ago, Stork has had some problems controlling his emotion. There was the headbutt in the AFC Title game last season and was also tossed from a minicamp practice in June for fighting. Despite some concerns across New England’s starting offensive line, whatever bothered Coach Belichick about Stork was serious enough to merit the ultimate punishment.

The Patriots continue their preseason schedule this Friday night, traveling to Carolina to take on the Panthers.

Pouncey for Giraffeapolo?

Pouncey and Landry for Giraffeapolo and a draft pick

the talking heads said that Nate's signing was another coup FA signing by the *s FO. I don't get why they are so fascinated with those cheaters

He's got to be ancient. Only 32? It seems like it's been a long time ago that he was a Steeler. Some WRs still have it at 32, some do not. But if he doesn't have his deep speed, he is worthless. All Nate could EVER do was go deep and he was pretty good at it. But if he lost a step - unlike Jerry Rice - he won't have any value.

Gotta agree with PoP on this one

Nate, in reality, didn't drop as many balls as most thought he did. He just dropped the "BIG meaning" ball, in the play offs, I Think. If he gets picked up so be it and wish him well. (Just don't bring him here)

Salute the nation

Nate seems like he's been around forever. Heck of a career for an UDFA out of Tiffin.
