Tyson Alualu set to visit Steelers

I'm definately glad he was signed and an UPGRADE to boot (not Joey porter's boot).!!!! Will definate help with seamless rotation and a new venue for him might kick it up a notch, all the better. Thank you to whom made this possible.

Salute the nation

it's a great move. He may be disappointing as a 10th overall pick but he's still been a solid player. That's the difference between him and a guy like Justin Gilbert. Gilbert has never even been able to cotribute as a depth player. He's a total bust. Alualu is a good player, he's just not a star.

They should be able to have a good rotation this year. They can ignore DL in the draft unless another stud falls to them like Tuitt did a few years ago.

And that is why they let him walk he wasn't a star commanding top dollars.

I know he is rotational, but I am happily surprised he is on board.

I didn't see everything I wanted in the off season, hell we rarely ever do.

But this is the type of signings you like to see.

Hawaiian's are big white rice and chicken. So thinking you might not be far off with the sushi reference.

But if he doesn't like it, I damn sure do.

So where is this restaurant at?

:tan:

100 Art Rooney Avenue. Very fine sushi there.

Takes a need out of the draft, I believe it makes it more likely we see a RB with one of the 3rd round picks.

Dline wouldn't have been in our top 3 or 4 needs. This nor any of our FA pickups should change our draft strategy. Our top needs are still OLB and CB in rounds 1 and 2. I can see us going O with one 3rd pick but would think it would be a No. 2 WR or TE.

Still would have rather seen the team get a DB and grab a lineman in the draft.

Great addition now bring back the 3-3-5 enough speed and mobile DL to run this system overload Rushers come in from same side like when we used to have Woodley and Timmons come in from the same side .
DE Alaula
DT Heyward
DE Tuitt
OLB Dupree
OLB Harrison
MLB Shazier
S/LB Davis
CB Burns
CB Cockrell
FS Golden
SS Mitchell

You seem to be forgetting Hargrave. He played really well as a rookie and should get the starting nod with Heyward and Tuitt.

It wasn't an either or choice for them. They decided against signing a more talented player at cornerback.

Hargrave isn't in the mix at defensive end.

superb look for a 4-3 base

The hybrid rookie I have in mind that can play olb in both schemes I want is Hassan Reddick.

I think they will stay with the 3-4 but I like those rush combinations, F83. We need to rush 4 on every play and that would get it done. Rushing 3 in this league works about 10% of the time, if that and we run it constantly.

yeap and a guy like Lawson, Charlton or Harris in the 1st (or Rivers later) can play as a DE or pass rushing OLB.

NONE of those guys are pure pass rushers! Its not the scheme - it's the players

You need blue chip STUDS to play DL in the 4-3 that can dominate a game and demand double teams

Were not even close to having a line like that - pipe dream

3/4-4/3 talk is by far the most overblown overrated nonsense on this board... with all the exotic formations we shift in and out of its meaningless these days...

The true base is a nickel and I wish it were a 3-3
instead of that vanilla 2-4

Tuitt hargrave heyward

Hargrove is not an end in a pass heavy set.

The run heavy set looks good.
The pass heavy set...Is Hargrave fast enough to be a DE?

but why is Heyward out of that heavy set? makes no sense, he should be in every set
