Tyrann Mathieu a possibility?

At least the Steelers are having him in for a cup o' coffee.

Yes! I like this. Do not want to hear about cap space - if they want someone, they'll find ways to make it happen and kick the can down the road.

sometimes they use us as a spring board to another team. But we will see. Can't sign a player without a visit..........

If true, I have $50 I can chip in ?. This would have to be an under the table deal..LOL

Damn just realized that 'Adam Schefter' tweet from slash is a fake troll account. **** I got excited for a second until I looked at the actual twitter handle

just reading that now too, i tried to confirm from his account and didnt see it

You’re crying over a fake tweet that was hilarious. Grow up dude. It’s not that deep

The Steelers have more than enough money to sign any player in this league, that’s never been an issue. The problem is they are always up against the cap limit because they do pay their best players. You can only restructure so many contracts but we’re not like the Browns or other perennial bad teams that always have loads of cap space. We generally have very little so who can you sign that’s top tier?
So when I read this crap from these so called media experts about how this guy or that guy is out of our league, be more specific. He’s out of our cap range.

So the fact we can’t sign this guy means we have no
cap space to include his talents.

What about maybe going after Earl Thomas? I imagine the compensation would be steep but that would give us a great secondary.

According to the Free Agent Tracker on the CBS Sports website, onlt one team has yet to sign a free agent...

Yes, your Pittsburgh Steelers.

Something has to happen, our safeties right now are Davis, Wilcox, and Dangerfield. That's allot to throw on a rookie right away.

Yep, they can't go in with Davis and a rookie starter. Wilcox isn't the answer either. They'll either need to throw some money at a legitimate starter or find a stopgap and draft a safety very early.

We should be close to $10M under the cap. Plenty of room to sign Tyrian.

I would of course give him a physical, make sure he has a clean bill of health.

That is a given.

They can always restructure one contract to get enough for the rookie class, 3 mil for emergency funds, and the PS.

Regardless they need to get off those hands and bring in a ILBer or a S already.

It will...the weekend of April 26-28 when we draft Justin Reid or Jessie Bates. lol
Nah...they will bring in a guy that no one wants for 1.5mil a year to start the first 4-6 games and then hand it over to the rook.

Tyrann is Bob Sanders. A good player, but too small to take the pounding that comes with playing the position.

He'd look good in the black & gold, that's for sure

He just signed with Houston options are vaccaro and tre Boston as for vets. Ilb Preston brown will be affordable and get the job done no guarantee eshe or Evans to us if they not you have to go boa which is ss Harrison

Preston Brown signed with the Bengals. FA ILB got really slim really quick.

1 year 7 million for the Honey Badger. Texans didn't break the bank.

Hey Steelers what the **** are you doing?First phase of free agency is over, wake the **** up.

No sense of urgency with these *******, starting to irritate me.

Not the normal year you need two ******* starters and not even a ******* visit.

And with Ben on the tailgate waving you would think they would be all in.

Not this ho hum **** they are doing, ****.

That's it for the Honey Badger?!??! Pisses me off even more. WTF are they thinking. He would have instantly made the D and the team better.

Did anyone actually think we were going to sign him? Seriously? Really? So much that some of you are pissed off that we didn't sign him? Wow. Just crazy. The chances of us signing him were about as high as the Browns trading for Bell in Coach's dreams.

Not that we didn't sign him but the fact that we have done nothing in free agency. They haven't even looked at anyone. They usually, at least, bring some people in. Our D is very weak at multiple positions that can't be fixed in the draft - at least not for this coming year. If they don't, at least, start bringing some players in next week, I will really be pissed.

Boston or Vaccaro would be amazing! I have a feeling they might bring back Mitchell on the cheap. They obviously have a plan. What that is nobody has a clue.
