Turns out Jackson sucks ***

Lamar Jackson 15-28, 97 total yards, 1 TD. 1 Fumble lost.

The Steelers and the rest of the NFL need to study what Kanas City did. Down 27-10 at the half time, you knew the Ravens had to pass. Jackson likes to throw it to Mark Andrews, his Tight End. He was targeted 8 time, with just 3 catches. Maybe taking him out and forcing Jackson to throw it to his receivers outside the #'s is way to shut him down? It's a theory.

Another therory.................

SPY him and take away the running game.................might just do it.

If SUPER STAR Lamar has his feet taken away, he is well below average. We also need man to man more often than not and little Lamary will be confused.

REMEMBER there is still that "Rivalry" factor to be concerned about. That in itself elevates both these teams.

I
M still picking the STEELERS for the win because we will use our guys properly, just a theory.

Salute the nation

He's been good enough to beat us....

The kid is gifted....no doubt...but at the same time human, which means he was flaws that can be exploited..

98 yards passing. Folks the league has figured him out. Injury to come soon.

WHAT HAS THE LEAGUE FIGURED OUT???? Nothing, only Andy Reid & only because he has Pat Maholmes....

Can you imagine if we drafted this kid instead of Mason "Statue" Randolph & our Steelers were 21-1-1 against NFL teams not led by Maholmes, AND PEOPLE SAY WE SUCK ***?

We'd laugh OUR *** OFF.....

I know it's not this simple, but if you take away their running game and keep Lamar from escaping, you should be able to hold them under 20 points.
Although, outside of KC, no one seems to be able to do either. What gives?
Can't DC's figure out how to stop a one-dimensional offense?

If he was available in the 3rd we'd have taken him instead of Rudolph

The Steelers defense did a good job against him last year. Our offense was nothing to be scared of. The Ravens secondary this year can be passed on and KC had shown they can be run on last night. The Steelers with Ben at QB has a good chance of beating them along with our pass rush.

Wow, KC rolled last night. It was a pretty sight. I'm not going to discount Jackson's ability because he's still a high calber QB that will cause a lot of damage, but the really good teams are stopping him. I didn't think KC could do what they did last night. Total shutdown. Maybe the PO will be different, if they meet for Part 2.
I hope Butler and Co.are studying that film like their Bible. It's a copycat league, so until he can break through, keep a spy on him.

KC followed the Titan's script against him. No surprise, blitz him and don't let him loose and he will fail.

KC ignored the run for the most part and send both ends after him with the interior linemen in a mush rush. Timed some really nice blitzes and ran some packages in the secondary that were kind of weird. Honestly, he seemed like he was unprepared.

I'm not ready to say he sucks yet but he did not look good when they switched the D late in play clock.

He did not play well yesterday also had a couple drops and he missed an easy td to brown. He threw a ball on a line instead of putting air under it and Brown had several steps on the db. I also think the ravens got away from their strengths and tried to get into a shoot out instead of playing keep away.

last year the Steelers with **** at QB took the game to OT..he had someghing like 160 passing with a TD and 3 picks....

even more interesting is how they were using all 5'9" 180lbs of Marquise Brown. Kept bringing that tiny little dude across the middle on drag routes. they're very lucky he wasnt crushed by a DL turning around or a LB honing in. Keep tempting fate, Rats.

Lamar Jackson looked really bad last night, i still don't think Baltimore is going anywhere, they will be tough when we play them, like usual, and we'll likely have to beat them if we make it to the playoffs.
Sometimes guys just have off days, San Diego almost beat KC and for the most part Mahommes looked bad in that game. I don't think he's the second coming of Tom Brady or Aaron Rodgers but Anyone writing off Jackson is an idiot.

Didn't see much of the game but loved the result. KC is gonna be tough to beat. As for Jackson, he can still kill you with his feet but mostly if he gets outside and he usually heads for the sideline anyway. One play I noticed KC used both DE's on an outside rush and contained him in the pocket for a sack. Ideal situation for us with TJ and Bud and then Bush hanging around inside to clean up the scraps.

Reid and Mahomes don't play defense. The Kanas City Defense, which is mediocre shut Jackson down.

Lamar Jackson 15-28, 97 total yards, 1 TD. 1 Fumble lost.

Baltimore does not have a one dimensional offense. They run first. Have numerous RPO plays. Play action. And then Lamar throws from the pocket.

Very hard to stop but we're built that way to stop them.

Here's the problem...

You have to have an offense to outscore them.

The scoreboard stopped the raven offense. It's like the Kordell steelers. Tough to stop with a lead or a close game, but get behind by 10 and have to do more passing and it falls apart.

Jackson is not a good passing QB. He just isn't. he has a great arm and does make some great throws but he has no feel for passing. He misses a throws when it's not wide open. The run fakes get him lots of easy throws against zone defenses.

When you play a running QB, it's tough to play man. Why? because in man coverage, your DBs have their backs turned to the QB so he can just take off running. The Chiefs DEs did a great job of containing Jackson in the pocket.

When a team does play man and there are tougher throws, Jackson struggles. First, he's slow to read and then he's bad with ball placement. He doesn't help his receivers. Andrews bails him out all the time with great catches in his huge catch radius.

No other team in the NFL relies on the run more than B'more. They are 1-dimensional.
Passes work b/c the defense is geared to stop the run. And they are always in good down and distance situations from executing well on run/RPO's (which are usually a run).
