Sounds like the man is grieving hard. I feel bad for him. Some things are bigger than the NFL. The Steelers are a solid organization that support their own. I'm sure he will get all the help they can give. Prayers.
I believe his brother was killed in a hit and run. Why, what happened??

It wasn't an article. He just hasn't practiced very much and it's clear it's not injury related. Is there a current or new article? I feel for the man but as you say the STEELERS have things in place to help. Life is bigger than football regardless of if you are a player or a fan.
Blessings his way

Oh thats right, I forgot about that.I believe his brother was killed in a hit and run.
This is going to be a tough one. When he plays, he is good and we need him to practice. They showed shots of him and he looks completely out of shape - unlike he normally does. It may take him until mid-season to get back in shape and playing to where we need him to be. Hopefully, Alualu and others are ready to go for at least the first few weeks of the season.
Coach Tomlin has been asked a few times about this, as has Keith Butler. They've both been 100% supportive of him, acknowledging the impact it's had on his family, particularly his mom. What a terrible ordeal to have to deal with. I think in life, the grieving process is eventually best handled by getting back into the swing of things. Perhaps football will provide that for Stephon. With the support and comradery of his teammates, he can turn this into extra motivation to get back in full form and put his hand in the pile to help the team. I wish him nothing but the best, and hope he's fully back once the season kicks off.
I agree. I just hope they have a contingency plan because, at this point, he very well may not be fully ready to play until mid-seasonCoach Tomlin has been asked a few times about this, as has Keith Butler. If that's the case, I see two possible scenarios:
1. Move Aluala to Tuitt's spot and start either Buggs or Davis at NT/DT.
2. Keep Alualu inside and start Wormley or Loudermilk at Tuitt's spot. We know nothing about Wormley at this point, and seems like a tall order for the rook.
Let's hope Tuitt's back in no time.
Don't rule Loudermilk out due to rookie statis as he is surprising many. His motor doesn't shut off and that is a huge benifit of his play. You're right on needing a plan B.

Wormley is a 1.2 million dollar dead cap. He isn't going anywhere.
I agree with your thoughts on Wormley completely. I just know when he is a 1.2 million cut he will be depth at least.I have nothing against the guy, just don't think we have too much hard evidence what he's capable of. I know they liked him enough to sign him last year, looking forward to seeing what he can do on the field.
We do know about Wormley: He sucks. We don't know nothing about Wormley?
