Tuitt will sign today

Nostradamus?

:anonymous:

Didn't Troy once sign a new contract on the first Sunday of the season many years ago? The deal will get done but I would not assume they won't work on Saturday.

So as we sit today, the Steelers are just a hair under $7M in cap space. Tuitt has a cap charge of $1,466,641 and his prorated charge is $418,081 while his salary is $1,048,560.

I'm pretty sure, when they resign Tuitt, his salary will count as cap space toward the new deal, so the Steelers would be closer to $8M to sign him and hopefully have some room to sign emergency players should injuries occur throughout the year. I also think his prorated charge will be on the books, but I have to wait until after the contract details come out to make certain.

$6M of cap space should be plenty of space for a multiyear deal in it's first year. He will have a decent signing bonus spread out over the years of his contract, with a minimum salary. That would leave $2M for emergencies throughout the year.

I hope so as he's definitely a keeper. Despite what Coach thinks I don't believe we've seen his best yet. He will only be getting better and expect pro bowls out of this guy.

Nice explanation of things. Thanks

Salute the nation

So, did he sign yet?

no, and if Coolie were any good as a mod, he'd ban ark for letting Cope post this ****.

any idea for how much 6 years 59.2 12 SB 15 guaranteed so I think since that was 2015 when Cam signed Tuitt deal will be about
6 years 64.4 12 SB and same guaranteed cash. They are about the same DL except Tuitt is a bit more versatile as he is quicker, in that he can play both sides, both the 1T and 3T where Cam as well can play both sides but in thr nickel only kick to the 1T.

7 day ban for spreading false news rumors

all approve?

say aye

nay it was a good guess.

Eat it Spike, the amount of falsehoods you post in the political forum should have you intermittant vacations...

I really hope this gets done today. All of the recent moves the Steelers have made point to a deal getting done, but stranger things have happened.

The #Steelers and DE Stephon Tuitt have agreed on a 5-year, $60M extension, source said. Heavy on up-front money.
