In the post presser, Tomlin said Tuitt has a bicep injury. This is not good. Usually when you see a bicep injury, it ends up being a tear and season ender. I just rarely see a quick recovery from bicep injuries.
Well hopefully I'm wrong and he's back next week.

I assume it's torn. Heyward tore his pec last year, it's probably Tuitt's turn. If so, step right up Mr. Alualu.

Either Tuitt or Heyward has to be hurt at all times. They couldn't have played many snaps together in their careers.

Rich Walsh had video of him greeting the team going into the locker room and he just had his left arm hanging. Didn't look like it could move it. I definitely don't have a good feeling about this one.

I will not assume **** until I hear one way or another. He was listed as questionable for a while there...so we'll see.

didn't suggs play all year with a torn bicep last year or the year before

That was for playoffs I think.

Torn bicep is 3-4mos total. So if that is the case, he can be back in December. Also IRing him would be the right choice for this. He'd be missing 12 games at least.

The new Ir rule comes up big here... that injury takes months if thats what it is... hopefully a slight sprain

Sutton is already on the short term IR so no one can go on that.

I thought you didn't have to lock in who got that return designation ? As in IR them then pull one off?

The new rule states you don't have to identify a player when they go on IR Return. So if Tuitt's injury is for several weeks they can IR him as well without designation.

Anyone see when he hurt it? The last play I recall seeing him was when he flicked the Browns QB out of bounds. Think that was just before the blocked punt but that was many beers ago. :)

You can pull off 2 players now, and you no longer need to designate who gets called back.

Not usually positive about these things. I just cant see a guy with a torn biceps (a fairly easy diagnosis) keeping equipment on and not being in a sling.

Good to know, definitely beneficial for us potentially.

I am a medical coder. At times I think I am good at diagnosing. The Dr's show me at times they are much better. I let them diagnose.

The best possible diagnosis would be an elbow hyperextension. Strains are better. A bicep tear is the worst possible outcome.

Second I saw him pull up I thought torn bicep. Said it on the game day thread. Aaron Smith has a slew of them and really messed up his career

Report: Steelers fear Tuitt tore biceps, signed $61M extension Saturday
Arun Srinivasan Sep 10, 2017 9:20 PM
The Pittsburgh Steelers fear defensive end Stephon Tuitt tore his biceps during Sunday's victory over the Cleveland Browns, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.

Tuitt signed a contract extension worth $61 million on Saturday.

The defensive end will undergo an MRI on Monday.

More to come.

Yep, I figured. As was already said, there is apparently a rule that he and Heyward are never permitted to be on the field together for more than 2 games per season. Sucks for Tuitt. That series he played in today he looked like a dominating force. Injuries are a *****.

Jeez did something happy on the play right before that could have caused it? I saw the play where he chased Crowell out of bounds....looks like he came in untouched and Crowell just ran backwards....Tuitt reached for him and grabbed his left bicep in pain.

Very unfortunate! HUGE LOSS! Heyward better stay healthy!
