Trump's state of the union address

The Pens won 5-2! Was a fun game to watch.

On a side note, I'd rather have my finger nails pulled one by one than listen to an commentary from any Liberal talking head or late night yahoo. I'd rather hear from you guys and gals.

Trump mentions lowest unemployment rate among blacks and Latinos, and the democRATS sit on their hands.

This supports what we've been saying for decades about democRATS.... its the welfare of the party before the welfare of the country, and that they need a permanent underclass to maintain power.
Without the poor and underprivileged, dems cant exist.
 
Trump was spot on and great. The Demonrats showed how unpatriotic they are and how they once again put illegal immigrants ahead of our police, ahead of our military and ahead of the American Citizens that gave them their jobs. Disgusting display by the Demonrats but really didn't expect anything less.

It was a huge part of Hillary's platform. He mentioned that it needs to be addressed and offered, though he didn't clarify. Our maternity leave is some of the lowest in the industrialized nations. I'd expect a rise in leave would go a long way in boosting morale in this country as a whole, for all Americans.
 
And final thoughts. I couldn't give 2 ***** about who Melania arrived with or that there was a typo on the invitation.

I'm going by results and deeds. If Trump shows he's willing to champion some liberal causes, it will go a long way to breaking the logjam in congress. You can't just lead half of the country, you have to lead all of it, and last night, it sounded like Trump is learning that lesson.

Last night showed me what he is capable of. He was 200% Presidential last night. I sat listening with pride. He can take this country to new heights if he wants to.

Forcing companies to pay for maternity leave is something i absolutely do not support. Some companies already give some paid weeks. Should not be required.

I don't think it was that as much as it was setting a trap for the Democrats to vote against things they've campaigned on just because it's coming from Trump. They'll fall for it hook, line, and sinker too.

My policy is I don't hire women. Actually, my sister and I did just hire a new female purchasing manager but she's too old to get knocked up.

The socialists just sat there scowling and bitter. They didn't clap for anything. Not for job growth, not for tax cuts and higher wages, not for crushing ISIS, not for low black and hispanic unemployment, not for Scalise being in attendance after he was shot by a triggered libtard, not for the Korean amputee, not for border security...nothing. It was very instructive when Trump talked about "sanctions on the Communist nations of Venezuela and Cuba" and the Republicans all applauded and the Democrats did nothing. Tells you all you need to know.
 
It was a very good speech. It was delivered well, no major gaffes. I was relieved that it wasn't the conciliatory Dem lovefest that it was being promoted as.

Joe Kennedy's was pathetic. You would think we were in the midst of the Great Depression the way he was talking. 90% of it was pro-illegal immigrant, an issue the Dems keep wanting to embrace and keep losing on. If open borders is what they're going to push for, good luck in the next elections. I'm sure the Spanish speaking played super well to the people who elected Trump. Dumb.
 
The venom continues to flow. I thought it would be comical to see the meltdowns if Trump was elected, but they are more epic than I pictured. Did any of those asshats leave the country as they promised? Asking for a friend. . . If any good would come out of his presidency, that was the least I was hoping for.

Too funny, every regular person I know thought Trump's speech was great and Joe Kennedy's sucked, every mainstream media outlet said the opposite. They sure do have their finger on the nation's pulse.
 
It's very unclear to me what the democratic platform is on illegal immigration.

Is it:

1) Underfund border control, bury your head in the sand, and accept those that "make it" and then provide them with a method (maybe longer, maybe not) to become American citizens?
2) Drastically increase all "legal" immigration across the board so no one is really "illegal". Double the amount of work visas, quadruple and ease amnesty quotas (because the world is a more dangerous place).
3) Remove all border controls completely. Anyone that comes is welcome, is given a green card automatically and gets go on their way.

I mean, I really don't know what they want. To democrats, immigration to them is completely an altruistic requirement. If someone is in trouble (to almost any minimal degree even down to being in a bad, violent relationship), the U.S. should just open our doors for anyone?

Is that really what the liberals here want? I mean even if we ignore the 11 million illegals here, what do democrats want to do about FUTURE illegal attempts to cross the border? I don't get it.

I'm not in favor of it either, but my guess is it will only apply to larger companies who mostly do it already anyway. Has to pander to the wimmins somehow.

As someone that works for a major nursing home company. This will crush us in two ways. Financial and staffing levels. The staff are always pregnant
