Trade deadline thread

Dugger is definitely a nice get but we'll see how Tomlin uses him and Ramsey moving forward. Hopefully, it's more of the same from this past weekend and Tomlin doesn't go back to his terrible schemes that get the D blown up.

MVS is basically a nobody. He'd be a camp body if they would have gotten him back then. He's done absolutely nothing in his career. The best numbers he ever put up were WR3 numbers and he's done nothing in several years. He should stay on the PS unless there is an injury. Just keep DK, Austin, Wilson, Skowornek, and Miller (when his finger is healed). MVS won't learn the O quick enough to make an impact just as their previous 2 late addition WR's.

On a positive note, they will have 12 picks in the next draft.
The 3rd round will be epic!!
Sorry, they’ll **** it up and trade those extra 3rds to make a move up in the first and take one of the trash QBs.

So...

What WR coming out values more than either MHJ or Waddle???

Jeremiah Smith isn't guaranteed to leave tOSU - but he's the only one better or as good right now...

After watching DK drop balls like Diontae--- I'm thinking we need an "on demand" monster at moving the chains. Send them a second and Roman!!!
We need an Egbuka or JSN type, the type of WR that draftniks knock and say "slot only" yet come in and just produce.

I’ve always hoped that our next great WR would be our own draft choice. That all important 4-5 year rookie contract.

That being said, made today rather boring for us. But I would have had a flip out if they traded a first or second pick for a WR with an existing huge contract. The next draft is in Pittsburgh. There’s no way we would trade our top picks.

Like i said. The positions we could have used were super pricey and honestly few game changers were remotely available.

The Fans desire for another wr was always greater than the Team's

I really thought they would get another cheap DT though..

To me it seems Omar and MT looked over the entire roster and said.....we just need Dugger....#7 now on the horizon!

Hey what did I miss?

Is the Aiyuk deal done yet?
hit a snag.

on a side note, if the Jets get a QB, they'll have a nice WR room
Wilson, John Metchie and Adonal Mitchell

that's going to be nice for some time

Is there a quality WR in next years draft that isn't insane?

Nobody is taking picks in the 97-105 range to trade away from a QB, too many teams need them in 2026, hope they all get picked before the Steelers are on the clock. This is a bad QB draft.

I wonder if the Steelers thought they could have got Sauce Gardner for 2 first rds and Roman Wilson would they have done it?
**** Im glad they didn't. Why so they could play him 7 yards off. No corner is worth two first. Zero. If you took two corners in the first in two years you should be stacked for the next 7 or 8.
I for one am glad they didn't make moves. This team isnt going anywhere.

Well, I'm glad that was uneventful. They're not going to free agent and trade their way into a championship.

Funny, strange organization! They make moves in the off season sending the message that they are all in on this season but fail to move by the deadline to add a badly needed receiver.
Any team trying to win doesn't trade the best offensive player to the cowboys.
I knew it would prove to be a mistake of epic proportions. They paid 34 million to an underperforming Wr and traded the better guy to the Cowboys.

What good are high draft picks when you are drafting the kenny Picketts of the world?lol
That is way too steep though.
There aren't 2 guys in the league that would bring us a superbowl with this defense. You could add chase and Jefferson Tomlins defense would still blow it. The killer Bee Steelers were 10x as good as this team. Tomlin isn’t winning anything no matter what. Especially not with austin and smith.
It really doesn't matter until Tomlins gone and we all know it.
