So.... ummm... basically just chalk up Thursday night Road games as losses... Tomlin is an old dog and he aint learning new tricks...
Yes we need this division game, but nothing is more important than bringing in a #2 receiver before the deadline. They need to do whatever they have to and bring someone in like Waddle or Olave. I'd rather have Waddle as Olave is on his 4th concussion I believe.
Rooney said this would happen months ago...yeah it hasn't. If they don't do this we will then clearly know they are not serious about winning it all. This is the year to pull out all the stops as the division is there for the taking. No one looks dominant in the AFC or NFC, but the style of football we are playing will come to a screeching halt against the better teams without more firepower/points. We do well enough and who knows Rodgers may sign up for one more.
Make it so Rooney/Khan/Tomlin!
Especially considering our last two WR1s forced their way out because they weren’t getting enough balls thrown their way.I dont know where people get the idea a guy like AJ Brown or meyers would willingly play in that type of system
This is a different Tomlin team. More and more, I am starting to see Aaron Rodger's fingerprints on the offense and Jalen Ramsey on the defense. They take care of business tonight it could be the case. With Ramsey, Echols, Slay and JPJ, they should keep Chase and Higgins at bay and help out the pass rush against Bert. Rodgers is 13-6 on Thursday night and he doesn't slack off.
well...these didn't age well.Never!!!
Steelers win by at least 12 points![]()
well...these didn't age well.Respect the hell out of both of you, appreciate your optimism off setting my pessimism. With an unofficial bye week ahead, they have some time to right this ship. <-- Extreme sarcasm
Yeah, that loss stung and it stinks. I was right about Rodgers, although, his 2 turnovers (the second should have also been incomplete, and possibly an illegal touching, I thought he was out of bounds) lead to 14 points. That said, Rodgers did put up 31 points. The players are there on defense for sure, but the Tomlin/Teryl Austin time is over. They need to figure this out yesterday.well...these didn't age well.Respect the hell out of both of you, appreciate your optimism off setting my pessimism. It is possible after a turnover for the defense to actually make a stop and not let someone score, i know that is a novel concept in Pittsburgh, but it is totally possible. Blaming a QB for those 14 points is asinine. The second INT should have been a completed pass and a fumble by DK.Yeah, that loss stung and it stinks. Nah, just an old guy who has watched the same patterns for 20 years now... lolIs Mad a gypsy or just your run of the mill fortune teller?
LOL, remember all the people blaming Ben who had 469 yards 5TD's 1 INT 110 rating for losing the Jax playoff game.It is possible after a turnover for the defense to actually make a stop and not let someone score, i know that is a novel concept in Pittsburgh, but it is totally possible. How drunk was I when I typed this??? Wow...Thank you and you penis'...
Whew. I need a day off after that game on Thursday night. But I'm still funny!!!
Smith is flexible in what he does in his scheme. Jonnu Smith can not run routes like an elite w.r.You arent advocating for a wr2. You want a second wr1
It will not work out... no wr1 will come here to get <80% of snaps and Wr 3 level targets
CA3 is a WR2 who produces like a WR2... an average wr 2 is gonna get like 40 catches and 600ish yards a season.
In the Arthur Smith O they dont even get that.
Jonnu Smith is basically a WR. He just has the title TE.
Honestly, our base O is 1qb, 1rb, 6ol, 2TE and 1wr...
I dont know where people get the idea a guy like AJ Brown or meyers would willingly play in that type of system
Smith is doing nothing with Smith. Every route he runs is within 5 yards of the LOS and his average depth of target is 0.9 yards.Smith is flexible in what he does in his scheme. Jonnu Smith can not run routes like an elite w.r.

Thats tge arthur Smith OSmith is doing nothing with Smith. Every route he runs is within 5 yards of the LOS and his average depth of target is 0.9 yards.
Yes, and outside of when he had an all-world running back, his offenses are generally middling or bad at putting up points.Thats tge arthur Smith O
Everywhere he has been, the 2wr gets less playtime and targets than anywhere else in the league...
We lead the league in 3TE sets... just what he prefers...
We are above league average in putting up points this year... last year we were league average... we are currently 11th in the nfl,Yes, and outside of when he had an all-world running back, his offenses are generally middling or bad at putting up points.
The Steelers ranked 16th last year and prior to that his offenses were really bad in Atlanta. This year is an exception so far, but the progress we've seen has been good.We are above league average in putting up points this year... last year we were league average... we are currently 11th in the nfl,
Call him 1b call him 2 I don't care. We have to have one if we are going anywhere worth talking about.Teams dont typically have 2 elite wrs... thats just fan fantasies... take a look at the WR duos around the league... Calvin Austin is producing at a wr 2 level. He was on pace for 600 yards when he went down. Thats really good for a wr2 in Smiths offense... its actually on par with
Moreover, the offense hasnt been an issue at all. They are just outside of the top 10 in scoring. Go look at the
top teams wrs... teams arent carrying two #1 wrs on their roster very often... and most of the second wrs producing 500-800 yards and 40-60 catches.
If we bring in a wr, fine... but we absolutely shouldnt be spending premium picks on a #1 type wr at this point... not when the D looks utterly horrific. I mean Van Jefferson is a low end #2 in this league... he played that for the rams when they won the super bowl... Chase and Highans are exceptions to the rule, not the standard
