By Jacob Jensen SteelerNation.com   1. DEVIN BUSH The Pittsburgh Steelers moved up 10 spots to select Devin Bush in this year’s NFL Draft. Bush will be expected to start early in the season, and hopefully he will fill the hole that’s been in the Steelers’ defense since the Ryan Shazier injury back in December […]

I misread this and thought it was Top 7 reasons NOT to be excited for the 2019 season.

Already had 2 in my head.

GODdell is still the commish
Tomilin is still HC

Nice read and makes for wanting the season to get started, least way TC anyways..............................

Doesn't just about every year start out optimistically for diehards ?

th

I am excited every year. and every year I say I am more excited for this particular season for >> insert reason. but this year I am extremely excited to see our defense with a real ILB again. We should be much much better and we get to START THE SEASON BY BEATING THE CHEATING ******** IN THIER OWN HOME!!!!

Talent wise we should be right there. The issue is coaching. I have zero faith in Tomlin or Butler. I can't believe they are still employed after the D "adjustments" vs Pats in AFCC and the onside vs Jax. Morons.

1 Big Ben- Motivated with what should be a chip on his shoulder.
2 Devin Bush- Preseason will be a fun watch.
3 Steven Nelson- A try hard upgrade is welcomed.
4 Donte Moncrief - In QB comparison it is like going from the outhouse to the penthouse.
5 Mark Barron - This guy can play and could cause Vince to sit on 3rd downs, because of his coverage capability.
6.Diontae-Johnson- DJ what can you do for us, do tell.
7 A lot of draft picks to zoom in on, can I get a Snell yeah?!

Lots of reasons to be excited, as many have stated above.

Add in one of the more "high" end and active FA periods, huge move up in the draft and not quitting after the move up as we aquired several potential good draftees. A new LBs coach and depending on how you look at it..... We managed to retain BIG chew Danny with special teams. He will be fighting for his JOB in a prove it year. (Sorry couldn't resist). All in ALL we do have a lot of reasons to be excited about this up coming season.

I'm looking forward to the annual camp summaries that report that the offense is unstoppable, the defense is impenetrable and some rookie / young player is RIDICULOUSLY under-rated and is going to shock the world when the season starts...

And then the season starts and the Steelers score 10 and get their ***** handed to them by some nobody team who hangs 28 on them...

I no longer trust training camp hype.

I agree. You can get the same hype from all the other teams as well. I remember the hype from when Johnny football was drafted in clownland. I'd go to their boards just to read all the excitement I knew was going to die as soon as this idiot stepped on a field. Then the tears were so lovely I'd have to go back and read some more.

Same will happen this year in Steeler camp. X player is unblockable, X player can't be stopped... wow did you see that rookie blowing it up!! Then when pre-season starts and they start playing against other players instead of orange cones optimism starts going down.

I've never read a negative camp report about a player.

I'm excited to see the Steelers watch the Browns from their living rooms come January. If that's what it takes to get Tomlin fired so be it.
